Job description

The Salesperson services (orders, delivers and stocks shelves, displays, and display racks) to an average of 40-60 accounts, some twice or more per week. Handle over 150 different types of products. You must be well groomed, organized, self- motivated, have good customer skills, and can generate new sales.
Key Job Duties:
1) Assure that the customer is stocked with product, product is rotated properly, and that the product is displayed or merchandised to company specifications.
2) Manage time to service customers on schedule and at appropriate times.
3) Setup and maintain displays.
4) Maintain good customer relations and service.
5) Order appropriate amounts of product.
6) Generate new sales through interaction with retailer decision makers.
7) Load and unload route truck with product.
8) Report maintenance and repair as needed on delivery truck.
9) Participate in required meetings regarding new products or promotions.
10) Housekeeping - keeps truck neat and tidy and other equipment (handheld/printers) clean.
11) Complete paperwork accurately, neatly, and timely.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent. Previous full-time work experience required. Good math skills required. Effective communication skills: reading, writing, and verbal. Previous working experience in retail grocery or direct store delivery desired. Some college and computer skills desired. Previous truck-driving experience desired. Valid driver’s license and can obtain DOT medical certification.
Essential job functions:
1) Effectively manage your time, to service on a regularly scheduled basis approx. 40-60 accounts per week.
2) Complete paperwork accurately, neatly, and on time.
3) Effective communication skills: reading, writing, and verbal.
4) Operate route truck efficiently, courteously, and safely.
5) Work alone at a steady pace with limited supervision.
6) Maintain valid driver’s license and DOT Medical Certification.
7) Must have dependable-predictable attendance.
8) Develop and maintain good customer relation, and service.
9) Display product according to company specifications.
10) Stand, sit, bend, stoop, crouch, and kneel.
11) Use hands and arms outstretched from body and overhead continuously.
12) Ability to lift 50 lbs. and frequently lift from 4 lbs. to 30 lbs.
13) Push and pull 2-wheel cart loaded with product up to 150 lbs.
14) Climb ladders and steps.
15) Work in all types of weather conditions.
