• Conducting thorough preliminary interviews to gather comprehensive information about clients' mental, behavioral, and emotional health, documenting cases meticulously from the initial consultation through to the completion of treatment.
• Developing tailored intervention and recovery plans for a variety of client needs, whether they are individuals, couples, families, or groups, ensuring a personalized approach to care.
• Facilitating engaging individual and group therapy sessions that foster open communication and empower clients to explore their thoughts and feelings in a supportive environment.
• Continuously monitoring client progress throughout the treatment process, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on their evolving needs.
• Collaborating with other mental health specialists and medical professionals to create cohesive intervention strategies and provide holistic care.
• Conducting follow-up consultations with psychiatrists and attending physicians regarding clients who may require hospitalization, ensuring continuity of care.
• Identifying and addressing behaviors that may hinder recovery, proactively implementing strategies to mitigate potential setbacks.
• Supporting family members and primary caregivers in managing challenges associated with mental health disorders, providing guidance and resources to facilitate their understanding and engagement.

The ideal candidate will work with a diverse range of clients, including children, adolescents, adults, and families facing a variety of challenges related to stress, anxiety, depression, grief, trauma, and substance abuse. Your role will focus on delivering empathetic, culturally sensitive care tailored to individual experiences and backgrounds.

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
• Current and valid licensure as either an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of Georgia is essential.
• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE) is required.
• Previous experience working as a mental health counselor is necessary to ensure you have the skills to manage diverse client needs effectively.
• Proficiency with electronic health record systems, specifically AVATAR, is highly advantageous for efficient record management.
• A background in addressing both physical and emotional health conditions, including addiction disorders, will be advantageous.
• Familiarity with American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices will be beneficial in delivering effective counseling services.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are necessary to foster effective interactions and maintain clear documentation.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a compassionate, empathetic nature are crucial for establishing trust with clients.

• Experience with evidence-based therapeutic approaches and a willingness to stay updated on the latest advancements in mental health care.
• Knowledge of the effects and interactions of medications prescribed by other healthcare providers to enhance collaborative treatment planning.

The successful candidate can expect a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 80,000 to 100,000, with potential for a sign-on bonus.
