Key Responsibilities

  • Drive the entire sales cycle from initial customer engagement to close sales. Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline to meet or exceed sales targets

  • identify and generate new business through targeted market research, networking and lead generation activities.

  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with customers.

  • Identify and execute cross-sell and upsell opportunities across the company’s product and services offerings as customer needs evolve.

  • Collaborate with team and management to develop effective sales strategies and best practices that drive commercial growth and customer retention.

  • Consistently meet or exceed assigned sales targets for new business, retention, and account growth.

  • Interact regularly with management and develop cooperative working relationships with operational colleagues to ensure customer satisfaction.

Qualifications & Skills

  • 3+ years of B2B sales experience, ideally in freight forwarding, third-party logistics (3PL), transportation, or supply chain services.

  • Experience selling across multiple freight modes or service lines (e.g., LTL, truckload, air, ocean, brokerage) is a plus.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field, preferred.

  • Demonstrated success as a hunter, with a track record of winning new business and exceeding sales targets.

  • Experience managing accounts post-sale, with a track record of building strong customer relationships.

  • Existing book of relevant industry relationships or contacts, preferred.

  • Solid working knowledge of freight forwarding services (e.g., domestic/international transportation modes, customs brokerage basics) or the ability to learn quickly.

  • Comfortable using CRM tools to track activities and report progress, Hubspot experience is a plus.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

  • Self-motivated with strong time-management and prioritization skills; able to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams.

Work Environment

This role combines fieldwork (customer visits, prospecting, networking) with office-based or remote selling activity, depending on location. Regular local travel is expected, with occasional regional travel for customer meetings, trade shows, or company events.

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation

  • Base Salary Range: $70,000 – $100,000 annually (based on experience and market).
