Your primary responsibilities will include a range of tasks essential for fostering the mental health of students. These include:

• Conducting thorough mental health assessments to identify the needs of students with special needs.
• Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans that address mental health challenges, enhance emotional well-being, and facilitate successful integration into the school environment.
• Providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including individual and group therapy sessions, to support students’ personal growth and coping mechanisms.
• Collaborating with educators, speech therapists, occupational therapists, and other professionals to ensure a comprehensive and holistic care approach for each student.
• Assisting in crisis intervention and support during mental health emergencies, ensuring immediate care and safety.
• Delivering psychoeducation to both students and families about mental health issues and available resources for support.
• Maintaining accurate and compliant documentation of all interactions, assessments, and interventions as per legal and ethical standards.
• Participating in team meetings, case conferences, and ongoing professional development opportunities to stay current with regulations and best practices.

This role primarily focuses on working with students within our Special Education Program who are dealing with various mental health conditions. Your expertise will be pivotal in helping students with autism spectrum disorders, learning disabilities, emotional disorders, ADHD, and trauma recover and thrive within the educational environment. You will play a crucial role in fostering their educational and emotional success through targeted interventions.

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Current and valid LCSW licensure in the state of Arizona.
• A solid understanding of mental health disorders, trauma-informed care, and evidence-based treatment modalities.
• Proficiency in conducting mental health assessments and implementing treatment plans.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills essential for building rapport with students and families.
• Experience in using electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and record-keeping.

While a minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting is preferred, we are particularly interested in candidates who have:

• Hands-on experience delivering individual and group therapy to a diverse clientele.
