• Collaborate actively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure a cohesive and integrated therapeutic approach, adjusting treatment plans based on team discussions and client progress.
• Provide immediate support and crisis intervention during critical junctures of therapy, especially when clients face heightened emotional distress.
• Document client interactions meticulously, maintaining comprehensive records, progress notes, and treatment plans that adhere to legal and ethical standards.
• Educate clients and their families about the emotional dimensions of rehabilitation, effective coping strategies, and methods for enhancing familial relationships.
• Engage in continual professional development, staying abreast of the latest methodologies in marriage and family therapy and rehabilitation practices.

Your work will predominantly focus on individuals actively navigating recovery from mental health conditions, substance use disorders, and other physical health challenges that affect their well-being and familial relationships. You will specifically tailor your therapeutic approaches to facilitate not only individual healing but also family cohesion, recognizing the interconnectedness of these aspects during the rehabilitation process.

• Current licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in New York State.
• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field is required.
