Key Responsibilities

• Conduct remote counseling sessions for individuals, couples, and families through secure video conferencing platforms.
• Perform thorough assessments to comprehend the unique mental health challenges of each client, developing personalized treatment plans tailored to their needs.
• Deliver evidence-based interventions and therapeutic techniques to address various emotional, psychological, and behavioral issues.
• Manage immediate crisis situations, providing necessary interventions to ensure the safety and well-being of clients.
• Maintain accurate and secure client documentation, including progress notes and treatment plans, adhering to all legal and ethical standards.
• Educate clients on mental health matters and equip them with effective coping strategies and resources for self-management.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams and external providers to create a holistic care approach that benefits our clients.
• Engage in continuous professional development by staying updated on the latest advancements in mental health counseling.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Life Medic Behavioral Health, you will be serving a diverse population of clients, each with unique backgrounds and mental health concerns. Your role will involve working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship issues, and other mental health disorders. This diversity enriches the counseling experience and demands a nuanced understanding of various socio-cultural dynamics.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in Massachusetts.
• A Bachelor's degree in psychology, counseling, or a related field.
• At least two years of relevant experience in mental health counseling.
• Demonstrated experience in providing counseling services, particularly in an online or remote context.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, facilitating effective connections and understanding with clients.
• Competence with telehealth platforms and an ability to adapt to different technologies used in remote counseling.
• A strong commitment to ethical practices and client confidentiality.
• The ability to work independently while also being an integral part of a remote team.
• Willingness to be flexible with working hours to accommodate client needs.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in crisis intervention and management.
• Familiarity with teletherapy best practices and productivity tools.
• Training in specific therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000 per year, depending on experience, and includes a sign-on bonus to welcome you into our team.
