Job description

Job Title: Dynatrace Consultant
Contractor Work Model: Remote
Security Clearance: Active secret clearance or higher
Responsibilities
  • Expand existing Dynatrace Gen3 deployment to incorporate use cases, such as Teams Observabilty integration, Job Service observability, Self-Service Observability Onboarding Portal, Agentic Workflows Deployment (Dynatrace Intelligence), and NetFlow Observability Integration.
  • Act as a Dynatrace subject matter expert, combining product expertise with practical consulting experience
  • Partner with customers to understand business and technical objectives and translate them into effective Dynatrace implementations
  • Deploy, configure, administer, and maintain Dynatrace environments, including OneAgent, ActiveGates, extensions, and integrations
  • Support customer adoption of Dynatrace Gen3 AI capabilities, including AI-driven insights, causation analysis, and automation use cases
  • Help customers leverage AI-powered analytics to reduce noise, accelerate root cause analysis, and improve operational efficiency
  • Assist in aligning Gen3 AI features with customer workflows such as alerting, remediation, reporting, and decision support
  • Educate customers on emerging AI-driven observability capabilities as part of their Dynatrace roadmap
  • Onboard applications and services into Dynatrace and ensure effective monitoring of critical business systems
  • Design and manage management zones, network zones, dashboards, alerts, reports, and SLAs. Analyze performance, logs, traces, and metrics to troubleshoot and optimize applications, architectures, and operational practices
  • Support Grail adoption, including log management onboarding and migration to Dynatrace-native analytics
  • Collaborate closely with application, infrastructure, and platform teams to drive adoption throughout the application lifecycle
  • Mentor and train customers on Dynatrace best practices and operational maturity

Required Skills
  • 2+ years of hands-on experience as a Dynatrace engineer or consultant
  • Dynatrace Associate certification (or equivalent experience), with the ability to quickly attain Professional level
  • Proven experience deploying, managing, and supporting Dynatrace environments
  • Strong understanding of Dynatrace architecture, best practices, and core capabilities
  • Hands-on expertise with OneAgent and ActiveGate deployment, troubleshooting, and extensions
  • Experience creating and managing management zones, dashboards, alerts, and reports
  • Experience analyzing performance data across applications, systems, and networks
  • Grail and Dynatrace log management experience or foundational knowledge
  • Strong consultative skills with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders
