Job description

Description

We are seeking a highly specialized Observability Engineer with deep expertise in Dynatrace (latest Grail platform) to design, build, and scale enterprise monitoring solutions. This role requires a true hands-on Dynatrace expert who can independently develop solutions from Day 1, with a strong focus on Dynatrace Query Language (DQL), configuration, and advanced observability use cases. Note: This is not a general SRE or DevOps role. Candidates must have deep, recent, hands-on Dynatrace experience as their primary tool. Core Responsibilities: Design and implement end-to-end observability solutions using Dynatrace (Grail platform) Build and maintain custom dashboards, queries, alerts, and telemetry pipelines Develop advanced queries using Dynatrace Query Language (DQL) to analyze and correlate system behavior Configure Dynatrace for enterprise-scale monitoring across applications and infrastructure Collaborate directly with application teams and stakeholders to: Gather requirements Propose monitoring solutions Deliver production-ready implementations Troubleshoot and diagnose complex performance and reliability issues using Dynatrace Drive adoption of best practices for observability and monitoring strategy Act as a subject matter expert for Dynatrace across the organization Nice-to-Have (Secondary) Experience with Azure Application Insights Familiarity with Splunk, SolarWinds, or other monitoring tools Experience working with Azure Functions or serverless architectures Ability to operate with a product mindset (gather requirements, propose solutions, own delivery) Knowledge of ITIL concepts
