Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor at Arrowhead, your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting primary care providers by identifying, treating, and managing patients' mental health needs as a vital member of the healthcare team.
• Conducting comprehensive patient intakes that focus on diagnostic and functional evaluations, leading to tailored treatment recommendations.
• Providing brief, focused interventions for patients in need of mental health support, leveraging evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
• Collaborating with primary care providers to determine which patients can be effectively treated within the primary care setting and which require referrals to specialized mental health resources.
• Monitoring and initiating follow-up care to evaluate patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed.
• Developing and implementing relapse prevention plans for individuals at risk, helping them maintain stability in their lives.
• Coordinating health services related to behavioral healthcare, ensuring comprehensive support for patients.
• Documenting patient progress and diagnostic information meticulously in treatment charts, keeping all relevant parties informed.
• Educating patients on self-management skills and lifestyle choices that promote healthier living and recovery.

Your clientele will encompass a diverse demographic that reflects the rich cultural fabric of Carol Stream and surrounding areas. Qualifications

To qualify for this position, candidates must possess the following:

• A Master’s Degree in Clinical Counseling.
• A current and valid Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) license.
• In-depth knowledge of mental health assessment techniques, treatment planning, developmental psychopathology, and various therapeutic modalities.
• Strong understanding of the DSM-IV diagnoses and ability to apply behavioral therapies effectively.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of USD 87,000 to 105,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
