Key Responsibilities

  • Utilize evidence-based interventions, including Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI), in individual and group therapy settings to empower clients to cultivate coping mechanisms and enhance emotional regulation.
  • Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team of psychiatrists, nurses, and addiction specialists to ensure holistic and integrated care, thus enhancing treatment outcomes.

  • Engage clients and their families in educational initiatives about the complex relationship between mental health and substance use disorders, promoting awareness, treatment adherence, and support systems.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in California.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in employing evidence-based therapeutic methods, particularly those relevant to co-occurring disorders.
