Job Overview

As a Senior Director, Nursing Services, you will provide executive leadership for a portfolio of nursing and patient support programs. You will be accountable for client satisfaction, operational performance, strategic planning, and the development of leaders responsible for large field-based and virtual nursing teams.

Working in a highly collaborative environment, you will partner with clients, internal stakeholders, and business development teams to ensure exceptional delivery of services while supporting future growth opportunities. This role requires strong consultative leadership and the ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments across healthcare and pharmaceutical organizations.

Responsibilities include:

  • Leading nursing-focused patient support and ambassador programs.
  • Providing strategic oversight for large-scale healthcare service delivery operations.
  • Building and maintaining executive client relationships.
  • Serving as a senior escalation point for operational and client-related issues.
  • Developing and mentoring directors and other operational leaders.
  • Supporting business development activities and client solution discussions.
  • Collaborating with technology, operations, and commercial teams to drive performance and innovation.
  • Ensuring contractual commitments, quality standards, and financial objectives are achieved.
  • Monitoring key operational and client success metrics.
  • Leading organizations supporting approximately 100-250 employees through multiple management layers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of leadership experience within nursing services, patient support programs, healthcare operations, pharmaceutical services, or related healthcare environments.
  • Experience managing complex healthcare programs and large operational teams.
  • Strong client-facing leadership experience with demonstrated success managing executive stakeholder relationships.
  • Proven ability to lead strategic initiatives and operational transformations.
  • Experience supporting account growth, business development, and client retention activities.
  • Strong financial, operational, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and relationship-building abilities.
  • Experience with patient engagement, field nursing, ambassador programs, or clinical support services preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead through influence in a matrixed environment.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $116,600.00 - $324,800.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
