Adornfield Counseling Center is seeking a dedicated and experienced Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our compassionate team in a full-time remote position. • Conduct thorough mental health evaluations and preliminary interviews to assess clients’ needs and develop comprehensive treatment plans.
• Facilitate individual and group therapy sessions using evidence-based practices to promote mental and emotional wellness.
• Document all case details meticulously, tracking the progress of clients from initial consultation through the course of treatment.
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including psychiatrists, social workers, and nurses, to ensure a holistic approach to client care.
• Monitor client progress throughout the treatment plan and make necessary adjustments based on feedback and observed outcomes.
• Engage in follow-up practices with clients after hospitalization to assess their ongoing needs and modify care plans as needed.
• Assist families and primary caregivers in understanding and managing mental health challenges, fostering a supportive environment for recovery.
• Identify and intervene in behaviors that may hinder recovery, employing proactive strategies to promote mental health and resilience.

Our clients encompass a wide range of backgrounds, facing different life challenges from anxiety and depression to more complex psychological disorders. As a mental health counselor at Adornfield Counseling Center, you will be involved in shaping the therapeutic landscape for individuals, couples, families, and groups, focusing on fostering meaningful change in their emotional responses and behaviors while promoting positive mental health outcomes.

• Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Must possess active and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.
• Completion of the NCE and/or the NCMHCE with passing scores.

• A minimum of two years of experience working as a mental health counselor in a clinical or community health setting.
• Proficient in using electronic health record systems, such as AVATAR, to manage client documentation efficiently.
• Familiarity with addressing a range of physical and emotional health conditions, including addiction disorders.
• A strong understanding of the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices and guidelines.
• Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, along with exceptional interpersonal abilities.

This position offers a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $100,000 annually, with an additional sign-on bonus for qualified candidates.
