• Conduct thorough psychosocial assessments to understand the mental health needs of patients and their families, taking into account their personal strengths and available resources.
• Deliver individual, family, and group therapy through evidence-based practices like cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, and grief counseling.
• Develop and implement detailed, individualized treatment plans that set clear therapeutic goals and outline effective intervention strategies.
• Collaborate closely with medical professionals, including physicians and nurses, to create a coordinated approach to patient care that aligns with the overall treatment philosophy.
• Provide crisis intervention services and safety planning to patients experiencing acute distress or complex emotional issues.
• Maintain confidentiality and document all interactions accurately and in a timely manner, adhering to ethical guidelines and legal requirements.
• Facilitate support groups, psychoeducational workshops, and therapeutic activities that promote resilience and coping among patients and families.

You will be primarily working with individuals facing chronic or terminal illnesses, along with their families, providing compassionate support and guidance through the emotional complexities associated with these experiences. This clientele is diverse in background, age, and needs, allowing you to apply a wide range of treatment modalities tailored to each unique situation.

• A Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited program is required.
• Active licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Kansas is essential.
• A minimum of two years of relevant clinical experience in a mental health or outpatient setting, particularly in hospice or palliative care, is preferred.
• Demonstrated proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic techniques, with a commitment to ongoing professional development.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a strong ability to assess and address individuals' varied needs effectively.

While two years of direct clinical experience in a relevant field is required, those with experience in hospice care or working with elderly populations may find their skills particularly advantageous in this role.

The annual salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience, in addition to a generous sign-on bonus. Benefits include:
