As a Senior Software Engineer, you will play a significant part in leading the rearchitecting efforts of our existing monolithic payment system to a cloud-native architecture, leveraging modern cloud technologies and best practices. This will include collaborating with cross-functional teams including software engineers, architects, and product managers to define and implement the new payment system architecture. The Lead Engineer will also drive the adoption of DevOps principles and practices throughout the software development lifecycle, ensuring seamless integration and deployment processes.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies, frameworks, and industry trends related to payment systems and cloud computing.
  • Design and implement microservices-based architecture using domain-driven design principles.ย 
  • Utilize Kubernetes for container orchestration and management, ensuring scalability, reliability, and high availability of the payment system.
  • Implement robust monitoring, logging, and alerting mechanisms to ensure system performance and availability .
  • Develop highly resilient and highly available components for the payment systemย 
  • Conduct technology evaluations and provide recommendations for new tools, technologies, and frameworks that can enhance our payment infrastructure.
  • Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional growth.

Qualifications:

  • Strong Kubernetes(K8S)ย experience required
  • 7+ years of software engineering experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in rearchitecting large-scale monolithic applications to cloud-native architectures .
  • 5+ years of experience programming in languages such as Java, Python, or Node.js, and experience with modern framework and libraries .
  • 3+ years of experience with DevOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tool.(Kubernet is a must)
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
  • 3+ years of experience in payment domain
  • 3+ years of experience with cloud computing platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, including experience with serverless architectures, containers, and orchestration
  • 2+ years of experience with payment industry standards, protocols, and security best practices
