Key Responsibilities

As a Virtual Mental Health Counselor, you will be responsible for a variety of essential tasks, including but not limited to:

  • Conducting thorough assessments and intake interviews for new clients to establish baseline mental health status and treatment goals.
  • Referring clients to psychiatrists, advanced practice registered nurses (APRNs), or substance use disorder (SUD) specialists for further evaluation as necessary.
  • Offering tailored therapeutic solutions and strategies for clients struggling with low self-esteem, familial issues, addiction, and suicidal ideations to facilitate their healing process.
  • Maintaining detailed and accurate documentation of client progress and behavioral changes, ensuring all records are up-to-date to optimize individualized treatment plans.
  • Acting as a crucial support system for clients and their families by involving them in treatment discussions to enhance adherence and foster a collaborative healing environment.
  • Providing crisis intervention when required, employing de-escalation techniques and resources to manage acute emotional distress effectively.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications
  • A Masterโ€™s degree in Counseling, Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling from an accredited institution.
  • Active licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in Washington State.
  • No history of Medical Malpractice Claims, verified by a third party.
  • Authorization to work in the United States.
Preferred Experience
