JOB SUMMARY:
We are seeking an experienced Staff Product Designer to join the VEP team and lead design across complex expert and customer success workflows. This role will own end-to-end experiences supporting Customer Success Managers (CSMs), product experts, and domain specialists, with a strong focus on enterprise systems, operational workflows, and AI-assisted experiences. The ideal candidate brings expert-level interaction and visual design craft, systems thinking, strong product strategy, and the ability to simplify complex workflows into intuitive, scalable experiences.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Lead end-to-end product design for complex CSM, expert, and customer success workflows.
Distill complicated operational workflows into simple, intuitive interaction designs and strategies.
Design and maintain end-to-end experiences, including Salesforce-based workflows, while ensuring consistency across patterns, flows, and user mental models.
Deliver high-quality visual and interaction design that balances innovation, creativity, usability, and enterprise design standards.
Lead the application of AI in product design strategy, creating AI-powered tools and workflows that reduce manual effort and improve customer success operations.
Rapidly prototype conversational flows, agentic experiences, AI-assisted workflows, and usability testing artifacts.
Use AI-assisted tools to accelerate the design process from concept through prototype and validation.
Create detailed, agent-ready design specifications covering system alignment, edge cases, interaction patterns, and technical feasibility.
Conduct and synthesize customer and expert research to identify pain points and opportunities across the CSM journey.
Use analytics and behavioral data to inform design decisions and measure the effectiveness of solutions.
Identify inconsistencies across product experiences and enterprise systems such as Salesforce and drive improvements to design standards.
Champion standardized design tools, processes, and deliverables across the design team.
Organize and maintain shared Figma resources, templates, and repeatable design processes.
Translate complex platform and customer success capabilities into intuitive, expert-centered journeys.
Present design rationale and strategy clearly to senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders.
Facilitate cross-functional workshops, design reviews, roadmap discussions, and alignment sessions.
Partner closely with Product, Engineering, Data Science, Operations, and other stakeholders.
Mentor junior and mid-level designers on product design craft, processes, and professional development.
Navigate ambiguous problems and lead design from early strategy through shipped product at scale.
Must have Skills
8+ years of experience in Product Design, Interaction Design, UX Design, or a related field.
Expert-level knowledge of user-centered design, systems thinking, interaction design, visual design, and research synthesis.
Proven experience leading design from ambiguous problems through shipped products at significant scale.
Strong experience designing complex, multi-sided, platform-level, SaaS, or enterprise products.
Experience simplifying complex operational and enterprise workflows into intuitive, scalable user experiences.
Strong understanding of enterprise design systems, preferably Salesforce Lightning or comparable enterprise platforms.
Expert visual design and interaction design skills with strong attention to craft, hierarchy, consistency, and usability.
Experience with AI-powered product experiences, AI-assisted design, conversational interfaces, or agentic workflows.
Hands-on experience with rapid AI-assisted prototyping and iterative product experimentation.
Strong Figma expertise, including creating and maintaining design systems, templates, and shared team resources.
Strong research, analytics, and data-informed design capabilities.
Ability to create detailed design specifications that engineering teams can execute with minimal clarification.
Excellent communication, storytelling, facilitation, and stakeholder-management skills.
Demonstrated ability to influence senior leaders and drive alignment across Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Operations.
Experience mentoring and developing junior and mid-level product designers.
Industry Experience:
Experience in SaaS, enterprise software, customer success platforms, CRM systems, operational tools, platform products, AI-driven products, or complex B2B environments is highly preferred. Candidates with experience designing Salesforce-based workflows, CSM tools, expert-facing platforms, AI-assisted operational workflows, or agentic experiences will be especially relevant.
