This position is primarily remote, enabling you to work from the comfort of your home while engaging with clients through telehealth platforms. Our outpatient office also provides a collaborative workspace for team meetings, training, and support. • Conduct culturally sensitive and strength-based assessments for new patients and their families to identify their unique needs and challenges.
• Provide tailored individual and family therapy sessions, employing therapeutic techniques that resonate with the client’s specific circumstances and cultural background.
• Complete required documentation in a timely manner, including billing, individualized treatment plans, and insurance authorization forms, ensuring compliance with state regulations and organizational policies.
• Develop comprehensive crisis and safety plans, including relapse prevention and wellness strategies, to equip clients in maintaining stable functioning.
• Create and implement effective discharge plans that consider ongoing support options and resources for clients transitioning out of therapy.
• Stay abreast of all current federal and state laws governing mental health practice, maintaining adherence to NEHS policies and procedures.
• Engage in continual professional development through training and continuing education opportunities to enhance clinical skills.
• Participate in case consultations and agency meetings to foster a team-oriented approach to client care.
• Ensure completion of all licensure and mandatory training requirements.

You will work with a diverse range of clients, including individuals dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, and other mental health disorders. Your role will involve creating a safe environment for patients to explore their thoughts and feelings, ultimately aiding their path to healing and recovery. Our diverse team approaches care with cultural humility, recognizing the significance of each client’s unique background.

• A Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field is required, resulting in eligibility for licensure.
• Active licensure as a Mental Health Therapist (LCPC, LMFT, or LCSW-C) in the state of Maryland.

• Prior experience in outpatient mental health counseling, demonstrating a proven ability to engage effectively with clients of various backgrounds.
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and remote therapeutic practices.
• Strong understanding of evidence-based treatment modalities and the ability to apply them appropriately.
