In this role, you will undertake a variety of responsibilities focused on providing exceptional care to clients:

• Conduct culturally sensitive, strength-based assessments for new patients and their families to ensure comprehensive understanding of their needs.
• Deliver individual and family therapy sessions, developing therapeutic interventions based on thorough evaluations and identified patient needs.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including billing information, individualized treatment plans, and insurance authorization forms, adhering to specified deadlines.
• Develop crisis intervention plans, safety plans, relapse prevention strategies, and wellness plans to promote stable functioning and proactive mental health management.
• Create and implement discharge plans tailored to each client’s specific situation, aimed at supporting their long-term success and well-being.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant federal and state regulations, as well as adherence to the policies and procedures established by Crossroads Mental and Wellness Center.
• Engage in continuous professional development to maintain licensure and enhance clinical skills through ongoing training and education.
• Contribute to case consultations and participate in regular agency meetings to foster a cohesive team approach to client care.
• Complete all licensure requirements and mandatory trainings as outlined by the organization.

The ideal candidate will work with a diverse clientele, including individuals of various cultural backgrounds, ages, and socioeconomic statuses. The therapist will provide services designed to support the unique psychological needs of each patient, demonstrating cultural competence and sensitivity. This role is especially critical in addressing mental health challenges that may arise from life transitions, crises, or ongoing mental health conditions.

To qualify for this role, candidates must possess the following:

• A Master’s degree in social work, counseling, marriage and family therapy, or a related discipline that leads to licensure.
• Current licensure as a Mental Health Therapist (LCPC, LMFT, LCSW-C) in the state of Maryland.

While not mandatory, candidates with the following experience will be at an advantage:

• Demonstrated experience in delivering therapy in a remote setting.
• A track record of success in working with diverse patient populations, particularly in community health settings.
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and documentation systems commonly used in mental health practices.
