Remote Network Sales information

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a Remote Network Sales professional, and why are they important?

To excel in Remote Network Sales, you need a solid understanding of networking technologies, sales strategies, and typically a background in IT or business, often supported by relevant sales or technical certifications. Familiarity with CRM systems, virtual communication tools, and network infrastructure solutions is commonly required. Exceptional communication, self-motivation, and relationship-building skills help you stand out when engaging clients remotely. These competencies are crucial for effectively selling complex network products and maintaining strong client relationships in a virtual environment.

Remote Network Sales and Remote IT Sales both involve selling technology solutions remotely, but they focus on different product areas. Remote Network Sales emphasizes networking hardware and infrastructure, requiring networking certifications, while Remote IT Sales covers broader IT solutions, including software and hardware, often requiring general IT certifications. Both roles are client-facing, industry-specific, and suitable for remote work, but they target different technology sectors.

How does a Remote Network Sales professional typically collaborate with technical teams to ensure client requirements are met?

Remote Network Sales professionals often work closely with network engineers, solution architects, and support teams to accurately assess client needs and deliver tailored network solutions. This collaboration usually involves regular virtual meetings, sharing client feedback, and participating in technical discussions to bridge the gap between customer requirements and service capabilities. Clear communication and an understanding of technical concepts are key, as sales professionals must relay client priorities to technical teams and follow up on implementation timelines. This cross-functional teamwork helps ensure both customer satisfaction and successful project delivery.

Job description

Description
We're Hiring: Outside Sales Representative (Remote)
Arrowhead Promotion manages end-to-end administration of sweepstakes, rebate processing, coupon redemption, and loyalty platform solutions. From our warehouse in Grand Rapids, MN, we also provide kitting, fulfillment, and professional customer care services to ensure our partners can execute secure and successful programs nationwide, all in one partnership!
We are proud to be recognized as one of Minnesota's Top 200 Workplaces-a reflection of the supportive, respectful culture our team has built together.
We are seeking an ambitious, intellectually curious Sales Representative who is energized by the chase - someone who digs deep to understand client challenges, finds opportunity where others don't, and is never satisfied with a pipeline that isn't growing. You will take full ownership of the sales cycle-from prospecting to closing-while serving as a strategic partner to your clients.
This is a remote position that includes travel to industry trade shows (4-6 per year). Initial onboarding and training are conducted in person, with monthly team sessions at our Grand Rapids, MN office to strengthen collaboration and connection.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Business Development & Prospecting
  • Generate 25-50 new qualified leads weekly through outbound prospecting, networking, referrals, and industry research.

  • Identify and target key decision-makers within prospective client organizations.

  • Conduct discovery calls to understand clients' marketing goals and explore their challenges and opportunities.

  • Develop and execute a strategic growth plan to build and qualify a consistent pipeline of new leads.

  • Schedule and conduct in-person and virtual client meetings.

  • Manage the full sales cycle, including trade shows, cold calls, presentations, proposals, negotiation, and closing.

  • Identify opportunities within new client relationships for future growth.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure seamless execution and client satisfaction.

Relationship Management
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships from first contact through close.

  • Partner with internal teams-including marketing, sales, production, fulfillment, and finance-to deliver smooth client onboarding experience.

  • Actively listen to clients and recommend solutions aligned with their goals.

  • Stay informed on industry trends and competitive insights to better serve clients.

  • Represent Arrowhead at trade shows and networking events.

  • Coordinate pre- and post-show outreach efforts to maximize impact.

  • Build brand visibility and expand your professional network.

Sales Process Ownership
  • Manage the full sales lifecycle from initial outreach through contract negotiation and closing.

  • Prepare and deliver presentations, proposals, and pricing strategies.

  • Accurately forecast revenue and maintain a healthy, active sales pipeline.

  • Utilize CRM to track leads, opportunities, quotes, and close business.

  • Provide regular reporting and pipeline updates to leadership.

What You Bring
We recognize that strong candidates may come from many different paths - whether you are a seasoned sales professional or someone with transferable experience in client services, account management, or business development.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.

  • 5+ years of outside sales or related experience preferred.

  • A proven track record of meeting or exceeding quotas and managing a full sales cycle.

  • A relationship-first mindset with strong people skills

  • Confidence in communicating - both one-on-one and in group presentations

  • Strong prospecting, negotiation, and closing skills.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

  • The ability to work independently while remaining connected and collaborative with your team.

  • Strong organizational skills and comfort managing multiple priorities simultaneously.

  • Proficiency with CRM systems (Microsoft Dynamics 365 preferred but not required)

  • Authorization to work for any employer in the U.S. without sponsorship.

Why Arrowhead?
Comprehensive Benefits
  • Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance (coverage begins within 30 days)

  • 401(k) with company match (beginning after 60 days)

  • Company-paid Life, Long-Term Care, and Disability Insurance

  • This role offers a competitive base salary of $55,000 - $75,000 based on experience, with additional earning potential through commission giving top performers the opportunity to significantly exceed their base.

Time to Recharge
  • Generous PTO including vacation, sick time, and personal holidays

  • 9 paid company holidays

  • Inclusive Culture & Shared Values

At Arrowhead Promotion, our culture is grounded in our core values - Integrity, Respect, Excellence, Commitment, and Innovation. We foster a workplace where every voice is heard, every person is respected, and everyone can grow and succeed.
