Key Responsibilities

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at Riley Mental and Wellness Center, your daily tasks will include:

• Conducting ethical, compassionate individual counseling sessions with clients via video conference.
• Implementing solution-focused therapeutic techniques tailored to each client’s unique circumstances.
• Developing customized treatment plans, thoughtfully identifying objectives, and collaborating with clients to set achievable goals.
• Helping clients gain insights into their emotions, relationships, and personal experiences.
• Regularly monitoring client progress, adjusting treatment approaches as necessary, and equipping clients with effective coping mechanisms.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of your counseling practice will be on stable, low-acuity adults presenting a variety of mental health concerns. You will work with clients who are seeking to develop essential life skills and coping strategies to enhance their emotional well-being. Your expertise will help them navigate challenges, enhancing their overall quality of life.

Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

• A Master’s degree in a counseling-related discipline, such as Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.
• A current state-issued mental health counseling license, such as LMFT, LPC, or LCSW, to practice independently. Please note that we do not offer supervision for provisional licenses.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills and a strong empathetic nature.
• Strong computer literacy, including a computer with video/audio capabilities for virtual sessions.
• A reliable internet connection to ensure seamless communication with clients.

Preferred Experience

In addition to the required qualifications, candidates with the following attributes will stand out:

• A minimum of two years of clinical experience working with adults in therapeutic settings.
• Proven expertise in developing effective treatment plans and using evidence-based therapeutic modalities.
• Prior experience with remote counseling is preferable, but not mandatory.

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary range of $90,000 to $104,000 annually, commensurate with experience and hours worked. Additional benefits include:
