About the Role:
Merci Technologies is seeking an AWS Cloud Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure for an enterprise client. In this role you will work across provisioning, automation, and operations for AWS-based workloads, partnering closely with development and security teams to ensure reliable, cost-effective, and secure cloud environments. This is a fully remote position open to Full-Time or Contract candidates.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, deploy, and maintain AWS infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code (Terraform or CloudFormation)
  • Build and manage CI/CD pipelines to support automated deployment of applications and infrastructure changes
  • Configure and optimize core AWS services, including EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, RDS, Lambda, and CloudWatch
  • Monitor cloud environments for performance, cost, and availability, implementing improvements as needed
  • Collaborate with security teams to implement least-privilege access, encryption standards, and compliance controls
  • Troubleshoot infrastructure issues across networking, compute, and storage layers
  • Support migration of on-premises workloads to AWS where applicable
  • Document architecture, runbooks, and operational procedures for supported environments
  • Participate in on-call rotation for production support as needed

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure design and operations
