Field Sales Engineer

Currently, we have an opening for a Field Sales Engineer. The Field Sales Engineer can be based in either British Columbia or Alberta and will support customers across Western Canada as required. The role is responsible for managing and growing customer relationships by identifying customer needs and delivering innovative tooling and machining solutions that drive profitable sales growth. A key focus will be the development of opportunities within the aerospace, defence, and oil & gas sectors, while also supporting a broad range of manufacturing customers throughout the region.

What you will be doing

  • Manage sales of Walter products and services within an assigned territory.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key manufacturers, subcontractors, end users, and industry partners.
  • Develop and support growth opportunities within the aerospace, defence, oil & gas, and other advanced manufacturing sectors.
  • Work closely with customers and channel partners to identify technical requirements and recommend value-added tooling and machining solutions.
  • Identify and pursue strategic sales opportunities, negotiating pricing and delivery within assigned authority.
  • Achieve sales and profitability targets through effective territory planning and account management.
  • Gather and communicate customer, market, and competitive intelligence using CRM and other internal systems.
  • Other duties as assigned by the manager.

What you will bring along

  • Minimum 2 years of machining experience with strong knowledge of turning, milling, drilling, and threading
  • Ability to read and interpret technical blueprints
  • Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to build, manage, and grow customer relationships
  • Outside sales experience considered an asset
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and CRM systems
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Ability to travel within Canada and the USA if needed
  • Self-motivated, results-driven professional with a positive attitude
  • Strong work ethic and ability to work effectively in a team environment
