Job description

Our direct client has a new opening for a Network Architect 122078
This position is 9 months, with the option of extension, and is in Augusta, Maine.
Responsibilities:
  • Network Architect is responsible for current and future projects involving Network design for both on-prem and cloud efforts. 
  • Including but not limited to Cloud, Wireless, Internet, Data Center, WAN/LAN, load balancers and firewalls, security, Monitoring Orion, Cisco gear net new and refresh, configuration management, and well as setting the gold image, fast-paced rapid moving priorities.
  • This is NOT a lead architect but working under the supervision of a lead architect.
  • This position needs someone who understands Enterprise Architecture and is willing to be on-site.
  • The environment is dynamic and a changing environment that needs a team player who will help build out the Network Core Infrastructure to the Cloud.
  • This is a hands-on role with strong experience with F5 load balancer, Cicso equipment, and Firewalls specifically CheckPoint that will be a long-term engagement.
  • The environment has roughly 11K users with 400 sites located in Maine with 2-3 central data clusters.
  • Skill 1 Cisco Networking architecture, operation, design and troubleshooting.
  • Skill 2 Network project scoping and implementation.
  • Skill 3 flexible and adaptable team player who can take the lead.

Required Skill Set/Skill Level/Experience:
  • Network Senior Architect expert level in Cisco, F5, and Checkpoint.
