Remote Netsuite information

What is a remote NetSuite?

A Remote NetSuite job involves working with the NetSuite cloud-based business management software from a location outside of a traditional office, typically from home or another remote setting. Professionals in these roles may focus on areas such as NetSuite administration, development, consulting, or support, helping organizations manage their ERP, CRM, and financial processes. Remote NetSuite jobs require expertise in the NetSuite platform, strong communication skills, and the ability to collaborate with teams virtually. These positions are popular among companies looking to leverage specialized NetSuite talent regardless of location.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote NetSuite specialist?

To excel as a Remote NetSuite Specialist, you generally need expertise in ERP systems, especially NetSuite, along with a relevant degree in information technology, accounting, or business. Familiarity with NetSuite modules, SuiteScript, SuiteFlow, and often NetSuite certifications are highly valued. Strong problem-solving, communication, and self-management skills help you collaborate effectively and address client needs in a remote environment. These skills ensure efficient system customization, seamless client support, and successful project delivery from a distributed setting.

What are some common challenges faced by remote NetSuite professionals, and how can they be addressed?

Remote NetSuite professionals often encounter challenges such as communication gaps with on-site teams, managing access to secure systems, and staying updated with the latest NetSuite features. Overcoming these challenges typically involves using effective collaboration tools, setting clear communication expectations, and participating in regular team meetings. Additionally, proactively seeking professional development opportunities through NetSuite training and certification can help remote professionals stay current and add value to their teams.

Job description

This is a remote position.

About the Firm

Our client is a well-established wealth management firm with a robust in-house tax practice, built through the acquisition of a large CPA firm and supported by its sister company. The firm is seeking an experienced Staff Accountant to join their professional team.

This position is ideal for a hands-on accounting professional who thrives in a production-focused environment and enjoys managing multiple client engagements with precision and autonomy.

About the Role

The Staff Accountant plays a key role in managing monthly client accounting engagements from start to finish, and prepares individual and business tax returns during busy season — giving this role real exposure to the firm’s in-house tax practice from day one.

This is a plug-and-play opportunity for an experienced professional who can independently own the monthly close process, including reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statement preparation, with a natural growth path into a Senior Accountant / Tax Senior role.

Key Responsibilities

•      Manage a portfolio of monthly bookkeeping and accounting clients (up to 15–20 at capacity over time).

•      Take each client engagement from start to finish on a monthly basis.

•      Perform full-cycle accounting, including transaction coding, bank and credit card reconciliations, and general ledger maintenance.

•      Prepare and post adjusting journal entries and support month-end close processes.

•      Prepare and finalize monthly financial statements.

•      Review work when applicable and ensure accuracy of account classifications and reporting.

•      Prepare individual and business tax returns during busy season.

•      Communicate with clients as needed to gather documentation and clarify transactions (initially limited client-facing responsibility).

•      Utilize QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online extensively as a power user.

Requirements

•      5+ years of accounting/tax experience, preferably within a public accounting environment (candidates with 8–10+ years are encouraged to apply).

•      Strong understanding of general ledger accounting, reconciliations, adjusting journal entries, and financial statement preparation.

•      Advanced proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop and QuickBooks Online required (power user level).

•      Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple client deadlines.

•      Located in Eastern or Central time zone.

Benefits

•      Compensation: $90,000–$150,000, depending on experience.

•      Busy season bonus: Performance bonuses paid in June and December, based on individual and firm performance.

•      Work arrangement: Remote or hybrid, depending on proximity to a firm office.

•      Paid Time Off: Flexible/unlimited PTO.
