Job description

100% Remote | Licensed Health Insurance Sales
Training Pay: $20.00/hour
Production Pay: $20.00/hour
Commission: Performance-based incentives
Training: 3 weeks + 1 week of nesting

Position Overview

We are seeking Licensed Health Insurance Agents to support Medicare sales during AEP, OEP, and SEP enrollment periods.

Agents will handle inbound and outbound calls to educate eligible consumers about Medicare plan options and assist with enrollment into Medicare Advantage and/or Medicare Part D prescription drug plans.

This is a sales-driven position requiring agents to meet sales quotas, overcome objections, achieve conversion goals, and provide excellent customer service while following all applicable CMS regulations and compliance requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle inbound and outbound Medicare sales calls.
  • Educate consumers on Medicare Advantage and Part D plan options.
  • Identify customer needs and explain available plan benefits.
  • Assist eligible consumers with Medicare plan enrollment.
  • Overcome objections and confidently close sales.
  • Meet established sales quotas, conversion goals, quality standards, and productivity expectations.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of customer interactions and enrollments.
  • Follow CMS regulations, scripts, compliance standards, and established procedures.
  • Maintain strong attendance and schedule adherence.

Qualifications

  • Active Health Insurance License required.
  • Previous sales experience preferred but not required.
  • Must be comfortable working in a quota-driven sales environment.
  • Experience meeting sales goals, overcoming objections, upselling, or closing sales is highly preferred.
  • Newly licensed agents with a strong sales background are encouraged to apply.
  • Strong communication, customer service, and computer skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
  • Must successfully complete required pre-employment screening.
  • Must reside in an approved hiring state.
  • Must be free of active appointments with UHC, Aetna, and Humana prior to hire. Existing appointments must be released as required.

Schedule & Availability

Peak Enrollment Hours:
9:00 AM–12:00 AM ET, Monday–Sunday

Non-Peak Hours:
11:30 AM–8:00 PM ET, Monday–Friday

Mandatory overtime may be required during peak AEP periods beginning in November 2026. Additional overtime may be required based on business needs.

Candidates must have open schedule flexibility. Hours are subject to change based on business needs.

Training & Pay

  • Training: 3 weeks
  • Nesting: 1 week
  • Training Pay: $20.00/hour
  • Production Pay: $20.00/hour
  • Camera Requirement: Must be on camera during training and production as required by the program.

Commission Opportunity

This position offers a performance-based commission program in addition to base pay.

Commission eligibility is based on confirmed sales, meeting minimum conversion requirements, and maintaining at least 90% attendance. Commission is calculated per qualifying application once required thresholds have been met.

Previous participants have averaged approximately $3.00 additional per hour, while top performers have earned $11.00+ additional per hour on top of base pay. Actual earnings vary based on individual performance and program requirements.

Work-From-Home Requirements

Minimum Internet Speed:

  • 20 Mbps download
  • 10 Mbps upload
  • Hard-wired DSL, cable, or fiber internet required
  • Satellite, antenna, microwave, and cellular hotspot connections are not permitted

Employees must provide an approved headset, one 21-inch monitor with the appropriate DisplayPort connection cable, and a personal device capable of supporting Two-Factor Authentication (2FA).

Company IT equipment will be provided. A total $200 non-interest-bearing equipment deposit will be deducted through four $50 payroll installments to secure the return of company-provided equipment.

Potential Year-Round Opportunities

High-performing agents with strong attendance may be considered for continued employment after AEP based on performance and business needs.

Agents selected for SEP may continue selling Medicare plans from approximately April 1 through October 14. SEP can be a more challenging sales period because consumers generally need a qualifying event to make plan changes, resulting in lower call volume than AEP.

Following AEP, qualifying agents may also have an opportunity to transition into a non-licensed Customer Service position at $16.00/hour to maintain year-round employment. License maintenance may be provided while working in the non-licensed program, subject to applicable policies and the expectation of returning to a licensed program based on business needs.

Eligible year-round positions may offer benefits after 60 days.

Continued employment, schedules, commission eligibility, program placement, and post-AEP opportunities are based on performance, attendance, business needs, and applicable program policies.
