Job description

Title: Junior Water Resources Engineer

Location: Seattle, Tacoma, or Wenatchee, Washington

Job Type: Regular Full-time


What's the Opportunity?

Anchor QEA is seeking a water resources engineer to help expand our water resources engineering practice in the Pacific Northwest. We are particularly interested in an individual who has a strong technical background and a willingness to support a wide variety of water resources, civil engineering design, and habitat restoration projects. The ideal candidate would be able to perform technical work, including technical studies and engineering design work. The candidate would work with other technical staff to support water resources, civil engineering design, and habitat restoration projects in the Pacific Northwest.

Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Performing technical analyses and supporting the development of civil engineering design documents for water resources management, water supply, water conveyance, water storage, stormwater, and habitat restoration projects.
  • Performing calculations and completing hydrologic and hydraulic modeling in support of water resources projects.
  • Preparing written reports and technical studies.
  • Supporting development of civil engineering design drawings, technical specifications, and opinions of probable cost.

What Are We Looking For?

Ideal candidates will have the following:

  • Master's Degree in Civil or Water Resources Engineering (or equivalent).
  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.
  • Washington PE or plan to obtain a Washington PE license within the next 3 years.
  • 1-4 years of experience in water resources planning, hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, and design and construction of water resources projects.
  • CAD drawing development (Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred).
  • Experience with a diverse range of hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) modeling and design software packages.
  • A willingness to work on a variety of tasks, ranging from hydrologic and hydraulic analyses to development of drawings, specifications, and opinions of probable cost for a variety of water resources, restoration, and environmental remediation projects.
  • Self-motivation, drive, and proactive communication.

Salary and Other Compensation:

  • Salary Range: $ 78,120 - $ 86,910
  • Annual Bonus
  • Other potential bonus types: Billable Time Bonus, Spot Bonus, Milestone Anniversary Bonus, Receiving Professional License/Certification Bonus, Peer-reviewed Publication Bonus, Employee Referral Bonus.

Base Level Benefits for Regular Full-Time Positions:
