The DNR is currently recruiting to fill multiple Information Technology Coordinator (ITC) vacancies within DNR's Central IT team. These positions will support either the Division of Fish, Wildlife, and Parks or the Division of Environmental Management.
These positions will be headquartered at the Department of Natural Resources
Central Office building located in Madison, Wisconsin, and will involve periodic travel statewide for incident response, project assignments, training, and education. These positions have the expectation to work at the headquarter office in Madison up to 5 days a week, with the potential of up to 60% remote work pending supervisor approval, after an initial in-office training period. Remote work arrangements may be adjusted as necessary to meet business needs.

Position Summary
These positions conduct the planning, approval, research, testing, configuration, licensing, procurement, and installation of hardware and non-standard (program specific) commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) software systems for their assigned Division. This also includes being the point person for the corresponding department-wide and enterprise-wide policies and procedures.
These positions ensure that, through business-appropriate hardware, software and service, division staff are equipped to develop, collect, utilize, and share data for science-based protection and sustainable management of department land and resources.

Salary Information
Starting pay for these positions is between $39.93 to $44.88 per hour ($83,054.40 to $93,350.40 annually). These positions are within the IS Technical Services Specialist classification included in Pay Schedule/Range 07/33.
These positions are not represented by a collective bargaining unit. Pay on appointment will follow the provisions of the State of Wisconsin Compensation Plan.

Travel: These positions will require periodic travel statewide for incident response, project assignments, training, and education.

Qualifications

Required qualifications include experience in ALL the following criteria:
Experience installing, updating, supporting and troubleshooting Windows Operating system, computers, peripherals, mobile devices (e.g. tablets and smartphones) and IT accessories (e.g., external hard drives, keyboards, mice, etc.).
Experience using PC registry, file management, email distribution list management protocols and/or principals.
Experience maintaining and tracking IT asset inventory.
Preferred qualifications include any of the following criteria:
Experience providing IT customer troubleshooting, support, and consultation for a customer base with diverse technical needs.
Experience supporting complex IT projects (e.g., Analyzing IT requirements, researching IT hardware/software/tools/services, familiarity with Cloud based software or services, or similar).
Experience purchasing and reconciliation of IT assets, peripherals, smart phones, mobile devices, software and accessories.
