Job description

Connoisseur Media - Columbia, SC, is hiring a part-time Remote Technician to bring our live broadcasts and events to life (about 10 hours per week).
You'll drive station vehicles, set up and break down equipment, coordinate on-site contests, and engage with listeners. Most events run about two hours, with setup an hour before. Some office support may be needed.
We're looking for someone outgoing, reliable, flexible on weeknights and weekends, and ready to represent our stations in the community. A valid driver's license and a clean driving record are required.
Responsibilities of this position may include the following:
  • Setting up station events: raising tents, plugging in sound systems, putting up signage/banners.
  • Approximately 10 hours a week.
  • Managing the events while in progress: interacting with listeners, leading games, prize wheels, speaking on the microphone/PA.
  • Successfully communicate with several different types of positions: listeners, employees, management at events, and clients.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements for this position include the following:
  • Must be 21 years or older.
  • Must hold a valid Driver's License and a current vehicle with current auto insurance.
  • Must be able to drive a station vehicle (van or SUV).
  • Must be able to lift 25- 50 lbs.
  • Must be willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Preference may be given to candidates who have the above experience plus the following:
  • Have an interest in radio.
  • Previous radio or media experience.
