About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Music Operations Coordinator to support the end-to-end lifecycle of music assets, from supplier onboarding and delivery processing through metadata management, quality assurance, and digital asset ingestion. This role partners closely with creative, production, and operations teams to ensure music assets are accurately cataloged, compliant, and readily available for use across a variety of content experiences.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a passion for music, strong operational skills, and experience working with digital media assets, metadata, and copyright administration.

Key Responsibilities

Metadata Management & Quality Assurance

  • Conduct metadata quality assurance reviews and identify opportunities for data cleanup and optimization
  • Ensure consistency and integrity of metadata across the music catalog
  • Classify and tag audio assets based on mood, cultural relevance, style, and intended use cases

Music Delivery & Asset Ingestion

  • Coordinate the receipt and processing of approved music deliveries from external partners and suppliers
  • Enter new music assets and associated documentation into digital asset management systems
  • Verify asset formatting, metadata accuracy, and overall completeness prior to ingestion
  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure timely availability of music assets

Copyright & Compliance

  • Support copyright compliance activities across the music catalog
  • Assist with the review and management of intellectual property documentation
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve licensing, rights management, and compliance-related issues

Operations & Reporting

  • Support recurring reporting activities and business analysis efforts
  • Track supplier deliveries and maintain records for operational and financial processing
  • Execute day-to-day administrative functions, including data entry, documentation management, and asset tracking
  • Partner with multiple teams to support ongoing music operations initiatives and process improvements

Required Qualifications

  • 3+ years of administrative, operations, or coordinator experience, preferably within the music, entertainment, media, or creative industries
  • Strong proficiency with Google Workspace and Microsoft Excel
  • Experience using AI-powered productivity tools in professional workflows
  • Knowledge of music industry contracts, copyright, and intellectual property concepts
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with creative and cross-functional teams
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with digital asset management (DAM) platforms
  • Familiarity with music metadata standards and asset cataloging best practices
  • Experience classifying and tagging audio assets by mood, genre, and use case
  • Knowledge of digital music distribution platforms and industry standards such as DDEX
  • Understanding of copyright law and music licensing frameworks
  • Experience with audio production software or digital audio workstations (DAWs)
  • Background in music production, audio, music business, or a related field
  • Experience with workflow automation tools and process improvement initiatives

What Makes This Opportunity Unique

  • Contribute to large-scale music initiatives that support digital content experiences
  • Work alongside creative, production, and operations professionals in a collaborative environment
  • Gain exposure to music asset management, metadata operations, and copyright administration at scale
