Remote Music Therapist (Part-Time) – Approx. 4–5 Hours/Month

We’re seeking a compassionate, credentialed Music Therapist to join our team in a fully remote, part-time role (approximately 4–5 hours per month), supporting students virtually.

What You’ll Do

In this part-time remote role, you'll provide virtual music therapy services to students with a variety of needs. Sessions may be individual or small group, depending on district needs. You'll collaborate with educators and caregivers to align your services with each student’s IEP goals and support their growth through music.

  • Conduct initial assessments to determine therapy needs and goals
  • Plan and deliver engaging, individualized or group virtual music therapy sessions
  • Use music-based interventions to support communication, motor skills, emotional regulation, and social development
  • Document session outcomes and progress toward goals
  • Collaborate with school teams, caregivers, and MIYO Health staff as needed
  • Contribute to IEP development and updates, when appropriate

Requirements

To apply, you should have:

  • Certification from the Certification Board for Music Therapists (CB-MT)
  • At least 1–2 years of experience providing music therapy to children or adolescents
  • Reliable internet connection and professional remote workspace
  • Experience working with students with diverse needs and abilities
  • Comfort using teletherapy platforms and tools for virtual engagement
  • Availability for approx. 4–5 hours/month, including documentation
