Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations of clients to develop personalized therapy strategies that address their unique mental health needs.
  • Deliver therapeutic interventions, including Individual therapy, group therapy sessions, and family counseling, that are evidence-based and culturally sensitive.
  • Utilize various therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused short-term therapy, tailored to each client's conditions.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed clinical documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards and organizational guidelines.
  • Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team, including other counselors, medical staff, and external resources to create a comprehensive support system for clients.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities to stay current with the latest advancements in the mental health field, enhancing practice and therapeutic efficacy.
Patient Population / Client Focus

As a counselor at Great Lakes Healthcare Center, you will work primarily with individuals and families who face barriers to accessing mental health care. This includes those dealing with conditions such as anxiety, depression, trauma, substance misuse, and relationship issues. Qualifications
