POSITION SUMMARY
The Associate Category Manager will handle data analysis requests and provide reporting and presentation
support for the Retail Sales division. This includes but is not limited to, the analysis of internal, retailer and
syndicated data, panel data and syndicated and proprietary research to communicate business trends, project
results and business development for internal and external stakeholders. This is a remote position working across
the sales divisions, while maintaining the highest level of confidentiality. This position will be expected to stay up
to date on data trends, building efficiency and developing tools to provide easy access across a broad range of
audiences from internal senior management, marketing, large and independent retailers with unique business
information needs. Accuracy, integrity and ability to communicate in writing is important.

Essential Function Statements
Primary analyst for production of monthly, quarterly and account reporting for key meetings, including
dashboards and charts
Power user of syndicated POS data and panel data as well as various data portals that Nordic Naturals
utilizes
Refresh topline analysis for each data refresh period; identify sales patterns, areas for improvement, and
wins in the market.
Prepare retailer specific business reviews prior to line reviews, business development meetings and top-
to-tops.
Track performance of key promotional events, in-store changes and new item launches
Partner with the business intelligence team, as needed, to support data governance, troubleshoot the
reporting database environment and perform necessary report data clean-up.
Support the Senior Manager of Category Insights as needed with projects across other Nordic Naturals
departments.
Become a subject matter expert on panel and point of sale metrics, partnering to understand the business
question and recommend additional or different ways of looking at a question
Ability to communicate data findings to Retail Sales Directors, Managers and Business Developers and
explain metrics, sources and address questions and challenges
Prepare training documents for Nordic Naturals' end users who are not experts with the tools, dashboards
and metrics an analyst uses every day.
Provide the highest level of quality assurance across all reports and data platforms.
Maintain data confidentiality requirements of syndicated sources

Continuous learner of new data efficiencies from formulas to artificial intelligence to increase depth of
data the organization can use
May attend key accounts and other sales meetings.
Attend related webinars and conferences as requested.
Additional related projects as needed.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS


Competency Statements
Advanced Excel experience with formulas, charting and dashboards is required
Experience with syndicated data (SPINS & Numerator) is desired.
Proven skills of providing timely, accurate reporting with written and visual data representation.
Demonstrated capabilities of managing several projects at one time, maintaining on-time deliverables.
As part of a remote team, must be self-motivated and able to manage obligations without direct
supervision.
As part of a team across multiple time zones, possess strong written skills to communicate effectively
across teams when office hours do not align

Computer Skills:
While the organization uses Macintosh computers, this position can be approved for Mac or PC
Must be proficient with MS Office Suite and have advanced Excel skills including pivot tables. Familiarization with
data visualization tools is required.
Familiarity with Google suite, particularly ability to collaborate in Google Sheets
Familiarity with Google Gemini desired
