Work Environment

This is a fully remote telehealth position, providing flexibility in your work setting while enabling you to connect with clients throughout New York. Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' mental health and substance use issues, accurately identifying co-occurring disorders.
• Develop personalized treatment plans in collaboration with clients, integrating evidence-based interventions to meet their unique mental health and substance use treatment needs.
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, promoting coping skills, relapse prevention strategies, and techniques for emotional regulation.
• Engage in proactive care coordination with an interdisciplinary team to ensure holistic and integrated treatment plans are effectively implemented.
• Conduct routine substance use monitoring, using motivational interviewing techniques to encourage clients to remain engaged in their recovery journey.
• Educate clients and their families about the complex interplay between mental health and substance use disorders, emphasizing the importance of adherence to treatment protocols.
• Maintain precise and timely documentation of all client interactions, treatment progress, and referrals in accordance with ethical and legal standards.
• Contribute to case conferences, staff meetings, and training sessions, enhancing your expertise in the treatment of co-occurring disorders.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will work primarily with individuals suffering from a combination of mental health disorders and substance use challenges, a demographic that requires specialized knowledge and compassionate care. Your role will involve meeting clients at various stages of their recovery, helping them navigate the complexities of their conditions and empowering them to take control of their wellness.

Qualifications

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York.
• A strong foundation in evidence-based practices related to co-occurring disorders, such as Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to collaborate effectively within an interdisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience

While the mandatory qualifications are essential, experience in a telehealth setting and familiarity with digital therapy tools will enhance your effectiveness in this role. Knowledge of the local community resources available for referrals will also be beneficial in providing comprehensive support to clients.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 75,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications, along with a sign-on bonus for new hires.
