Position Overview

Gotham Enterprises Ltd is seeking a dedicated and qualified Licensed Mental Health Counselor to join our innovative integrated care team in a remote capacity. This full-time position offers an annual salary ranging from USD 75,000 to 100,000, along with a sign-on bonus, reflecting our commitment to your expertise and dedication. As part of our outpatient office, you will play a vital role in the recovery process by delivering exemplary mental health treatment to individuals experiencing co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.

About the Organization

At Gotham Enterprises Ltd, we are a leading outpatient mental health practice based in Elmont, New York, dedicated to providing holistic and comprehensive care to our clients. Our multidisciplinary team is comprised of mental health professionals, psychiatrists, nurses, and addiction specialists working collaboratively to address the multifaceted challenges faced by individuals in recovery. We understand that mental health issues often coexist with substance use disorders; thus, our integrated approach allows us to treat the whole person rather than just isolated symptoms.

Work Environment

The role is entirely remote, providing a flexible work environment that supports work-life balance. You will be an integral member of a vibrant and collaborative team, participating actively in virtual meetings and case conferences. Our culture prioritizes teamwork, fostering an atmosphere where professional growth and open communication are championed. As a remote team member, you will utilize advanced telehealth technology to conduct assessments and therapy sessions seamlessly.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough and comprehensive assessments to understand clients' mental health and substance use concerns, identifying any co-occurring disorders that may require specific attention.
  • Develop personalized, culturally competent treatment plans in collaboration with clients that incorporate evidence-based strategies tailored to address dual diagnoses.
  • Provide individual and group therapy sessions utilizing various therapeutic modalities, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Motivational Interviewing, aimed at equipping clients with effective coping skills and relapse prevention techniques.
  • Engage consistently with an interdisciplinary team, coordinating care with psychiatrists and addiction specialists to ensure clients receive comprehensive treatment aligned with their individual needs.
  • Implement substance use monitoring techniques and motivational interviewing strategies to encourage clients' progress and support sustained recovery efforts.
  • Educate clients and their families about the complexities of mental health and substance use disorders, emphasizing the importance of treatment adherence for successful outcomes.
  • Maintain up-to-date and accurate documentation of all client interactions, treatment progress, and referrals according to ethical and legal standards.
  • Actively participate in staff meetings, case conferences, and professional development opportunities to enhance knowledge and competency in treating co-occurring disorders.
Patient Population / Client Focus

Your primary focus will be on a diverse population of individuals struggling with co-occurring mental health disorders and substance use issues. You will support clients from various backgrounds, advocating for those who may have previously faced barriers to receiving effective care. Your approach will be rooted in empathy and understanding, fostering an environment where clients feel safe and supported in their journey towards recovery.

Qualifications
  • A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • A current and valid license as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in New York State.
  • Proven proficiency in evidence-based therapeutic techniques for treating co-occurring disorders, including Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT).
  • A comprehensive understanding of the interaction between mental health and substance use disorders, with a commitment to ongoing education in this evolving field.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred Experience
  • A minimum of two years of direct experience in mental health counseling, specifically working with clients facing co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders.
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering group therapy sessions effectively in remote settings.
  • Familiarity with telehealth platforms and experience providing therapy via video conferencing.
Compensation and Benefits
  • Annual salary between $75,000 and $100,000, complemented by a competitive sign-on bonus.
  • Comprehensive healthcare benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, ensuring both you and your family's healthcare needs are met.
  • Retirement savings plan with employer-matching contributions to help you prepare for your future.
  • Generous allowances for paid time off (PTO), ensuring that you have ample time to recharge and maintain work-life balance.
  • Ongoing professional development opportunities to advance your skills and knowledge in integrated care approaches.
Career Growth Opportunities

At Gotham Enterprises Ltd, we are deeply committed to your professional development and growth. You will have the opportunity to engage in continuous training, workshops, and conferences, enhancing your expertise in treating co-occurring disorders. Through mentorship programs and leadership opportunities, you will be encouraged to advance within the organization.

Why Join Our Team

By becoming part of our integrated care team, you will be instrumental in shaping the lives of individuals battling mental health and substance use disorders. You will enjoy a supportive work environment filled with collaborative professionals who are as dedicated to client care as you are. If you are passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of others, we invite you to submit your resume and embark on this fulfilling journey with us.
