Work Environment

Key Responsibilities

As an LICSW at Mood Care Counseling, you will be entrusted with several key responsibilities, including:

• Conducting comprehensive clinical assessments to identify students’ mental health needs and developing individualized treatment plans that align with best practices and evidence-based interventions.
• Delivering therapeutic services, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and solution-focused therapy, tailored to the unique needs and preferences of each student.
• Monitoring and maintaining precise clinical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and organizational standards, ensuring timely updates and communication regarding each case.
• Collaborating with educators, school psychologists, and other allied mental health professionals to create a coordinated support system for students facing psychological challenges.
• Participating in case consultations and multidisciplinary team meetings to refine treatment approaches and share insights about patient progress.
• Providing educational workshops and resources for students and families to assist them in understanding mental health issues, coping strategies, and available community resources.
• Staying informed of evolving research and trends in the mental health field, and integrating new knowledge into clinical practice to enhance therapeutic outcomes.
• Managing a diverse caseload effectively while ensuring adherence to ethical standards outlined by the National Association of Social Workers (NASW).

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role will primarily focus on a diverse student population within the school system, covering various mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral issues. You will work closely with students from diverse backgrounds, ensuring culturally competent care and support tailored to each individual's circumstances. Our goal is to improve students' overall well-being and academic performance through effective mental health interventions.

Qualifications

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• A valid Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) license to practice in Massachusetts.
• A minimum of three years of clinical experience specifically providing psychotherapy services in a mental health setting.
• Demonstrated expertise in solution-oriented therapy techniques and evidence-based modalities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling meaningful connections with students, families, and colleagues.

Preferred Experience

• Experience working within educational or school-based settings.

Compensation and Benefits
