This position is fully remote, allowing you the flexibility to manage your work-life balance while making a significant impact in the field of mental health. All sessions are conducted via our secure telehealth platform, ensuring client confidentiality and creating a safe space for therapy. • Conduct initial assessments to evaluate clients' mental health status, working collaboratively with them to establish goals for therapy.
• Design comprehensive treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based therapeutic approaches suited to individual client needs.
• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, providing guidance and support to assist clients in navigating their mental health challenges.
• Closely monitor client progress, adjust treatment plans as necessary, and provide ongoing feedback and resources to support their recovery journey.
• Coordinate with other healthcare professionals, such as psychiatrists and primary care providers, to ensure a holistic approach to client treatment.
• Maintain accurate and confidential client records through our electronic health record (EHR) system, adhering to best practices in documentation and data protection.

The clients you will serve come from diverse backgrounds and present a range of mental health concerns, such as anxiety, depression, PTSD, and substance use disorders. Your ability to understand and connect with individuals from various cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds will be essential in delivering effective and sensitive care. Our clients look for not just expertise but also empathetic understanding, making your interpersonal skills crucial to their healing process.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
• A valid and current license as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or a similar credential in New York State.
• Strong foundational knowledge of mental health disorders and familiarity with various treatment modalities.
• Demonstrable skills in crisis intervention and a deep understanding of ethical treatment practices and professional boundaries.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to foster a rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.

• Relevant experience in providing therapy to both individuals and groups, ideally in a telehealth setting.
• Training in trauma-informed care and culturally responsive practices.
• Familiarity with EHR systems and ability to adapt to digital tools seamlessly.

New Beginnings Counseling Services offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $70,000 to $100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
