Candidates residing in the following states will be considered for remote employment: Alabama, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, Nebraska, North Carolina, Oklahoma, Texas, Utah, and Virginia. Remote work will not be permitted from any other state at this time
The IT Project Manager III position is responsible for managing project execution while adhering to budget, schedule, and scope constraints. They work to minimize risks and ensure compliance with industry-standard processes and methodologies. The Project Manager possesses a strong understanding of the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK), Agile Project Management, and the Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe). They have advanced project management expertise, particularly in handling medium to large-scale projects. Leading cross-functional project teams, they effectively plan and execute solutions development in complex, iterative environments. The IT Project Manager III oversees all aspects of their projects, including scope, schedule, resources, budget, communication, and risk management. The IT Project Manager III reports to the Director of IT Transformation, Planning & Governance.
Responsibilities
  • Demonstrates advanced working knowledge of PMBOK, Agile Project Management, and SAFe methodologies
  • Defines project scope, requirements and success metrics in collaboration with project sponsors and solution owners using project management methodologies.
  • Manages financial aspects including invoices, purchase orders, and contracts/statements of work.
  • Establishes and executes project communication plans.
  • Prepares progress reports, manages risks, issues, dependencies, and tracks financial metrics.
  • Facilitates Agile Solution Delivery (ASD) or other project management methodologies, driving program-level continuous improvement.
  • Demonstrates team leadership, stakeholder management, risk management, and learning agility.
  • Resolves conflicts between team members or solution owners when necessary.
  • Utilizes motivation techniques to achieve project goals and milestones.
  • Manages solution roadmaps within JIRA, tracking schedule, scope, and budget.
  • Engages in quarterly release planning, ensuring regular and timely value delivery.
  • Collaborates with IT leaders to monitor team capacity, velocity, and solution goals, mitigating risks and dependencies.
  • Coaches, trains, and educates stakeholders and project teams on Agile and change management practices, supporting adoption and communication of key changes.

Education
  • Bachelor's Degree - IT, Computer Science, Project Management or related field - Required

Work Experience
  • 7 Years - IT experience in program and/or business technology management - Required
  • 5 Years - Knowledge of healthcare IT or pharmaceuticals industries - Required
  • 7 Years - Financial experience with familiarity with budgetary planning and cost reporting - Required
  • 5 Years - Previous industry experience in technology business management - Required
  • 5 Years - Proven leadership experience including knowledge of approaches, tools, and techniques for gaining the cooperation and support of others - Required
  • 3 Years - Working with JIRA, Confluence and other Atlassian products as a user or administrator - Required
  • 3 Years - Experience in guiding teams through Change Management Processes - Preferred

Licenses and Certifications
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) - Required within 120 Days
  • Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) - Required Upon Hire
