What is a remote mining equipment operator?

Remote Mining Equipment Operators are professionals who control mining machinery and equipment from a distance, often using computer interfaces, cameras, and remote controls. They play a crucial role in enhancing safety and efficiency by operating heavy machinery such as drills, loaders, and haul trucks in hazardous or hard-to-reach mining environments. This remote operation helps reduce the risk of injuries while maintaining productivity in mining operations. Operators typically require specialized training and knowledge of both mining processes and remote control technologies.

What are some common challenges faced by remote mining equipment operators and how can they be addressed?

Remote Mining Equipment Operators often face challenges such as maintaining clear communication with onsite teams, managing equipment malfunctions from a distance, and adapting to variable shift schedules. To address these, operators should develop strong communication skills, familiarize themselves with remote diagnostics tools, and participate in ongoing training. Regular check-ins with supervisors and effective use of remote monitoring technology also help ensure smooth operations and quick response to any technical issues.

How much do remote mining equipment operators make?

Remote mining equipment operators typically earn between $50,000 and $80,000 annually, depending on experience, location, and the complexity of the equipment operated. Advanced skills, certifications, and working in remote or hazardous environments can increase earning potential.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a remote mining equipment operator?

Job description

Salary: $120,000 to $200,000 per year for strong performers

About BRDGIT, Powered by The SilverLogic (TSL):

For thirteen years, The SilverLogic has been a premier custom software development company in Boca Raton, serving clients at an international scale. BRDGIT was built out of that foundation to meet a clear need: AI solutions that cut through the hype, built by engineers with deep roots in automation and systems work.

We help small and mid-sized organizations understand, plan, and apply AI with confidence. Using our AI-Proven-Process and Consulting Framework, we guide clients from first assessment to full-scale implementation at a pace that fits their goals, budget, and readiness. We are now building a team to help us grow.

What This Role Is:

This is a 90-day founding sales program designed for driven individuals ready to build their own success through a performance-based path to a full-time role, with full support, resources, and guidance from BRDGIT and TSL.

Were looking for someone eager to break into or grow within B2B tech sales. After 90 days, top performers are offered a full-time position with a choice between a high-commission, no-base structure, or a base salary with reduced commission.

What You'll Do (First 90 Days):

  • Learn AI consulting firsthand by working closely with BRDGITs COO, AI Consultants, and engineers
  • Build your own book of business across The Reno Metro Area (SMB owners, founders, operators)
  • Develop the ability to sell AI services, from simple solutions to complex, multi-agent AI blueprints and implementations
  • Run outbound campaigns (LinkedIn, cold email, cold calls, networking, door knocking, etc.) to generate and book meetings
  • Lead discovery calls with CEOs and founders, ask the right questions, and qualify opportunities quickly
  • Close deals ($3K$30K/month) with support from BRDGIT leadership and earn 25% of each first invoice
Strengthen your personal brand by building real authority in AI
  • Attend Elko Mining Expo in Elko, Nevada on June 45 as part of BRDGITs Events strategy in mining and industrial services
  • Build a target list before the expo and book follow-up calls with mining contractors, equipment suppliers, trucking/logistics firms, safety vendors, environmental companies, and industrial service providers
  • Build your broader book of business across the Reno metro, focusing on SMBs with high operational coordination load: lots of jobs, orders, crews, schedules, customers, field work, documents, dispatching, or repetitive admin handled by a small team

Where You'll Be at Day 90:

  • Proven Performer: Youve built a pipeline, closed deals, and demonstrated consistency. You move into a full-time role with the option of base + commission or a higher-upside commission structure.
  • On the Edge: Youve shown strong potential but need more time. We extend and continue building.
  • Mismatch: The role isnt the right fit, but youll leave with meaningful, hands-on experience in AI sales, gaining more real-world exposure than your peers get in years.

Graduation (Day 90):

If you meet the benchmark (typically 3 deals or $50K ARR), you choose:

  • Track A: Base + Commission:
    Starting: $3,000/month base + 10% first invoice + 5% trailing
    More stability, lower upside
  • Track B: Pure Commission:
    25% first invoice + 5% trailing
    Higher risk, higher earning potential

Who You Are:

We value ambition and execution over traditional credentials and impressive resumes.

You are:

  • Hungry. Youre not looking for comfort. Youre looking for a shot.
  • Tech-fluent. You use ChatGPT, Claude, or similar tools regularly. You have built something with AI, even if its just automated a boring task in your own life. Youre curious about how it all works.
  • Articulate. You can talk to anyone, anywhere, about anything. You write well. You read people well.
  • Unafraid of a door. Walking into a business and introducing yourself doesnt scare you. Neither does a cold call, a networking event, or a rejection.
  • Coachable. You take feedback without defensiveness. You apply it. You ask for more.
  • Willing to bet on yourself. You understand that no base for 90 days is scary, and youre willing to do it because you believe in what you can produce.
  • Industry-curious. You do not need to be an expert in every local industry, but you are willing to learn how real operators make money, where their workflows break, and how AI can help them move faster. Bonus if you are interested in mining services, industrial suppliers, equipment rental or sales, machine shops, trucking/logistics, safety/compliance, environmental services, construction, manufacturing, or field-service businesses.

The Money:

  • Days 1 to 90
    • Base: $0. This is a 1099 commission-only program.
    • Commission: 25% of every first invoice collected when you close a deal. Plus 10% trailing on months 2 through 6 of every recurring engagement.
    • Uncapped: Close more, earn more. No ceiling.

What this looks like in practice

For example, you close one Fractional AI Engineer engagement at $6,700 per month. Your earnings on that single deal:

  • Month 1 commission: $1,675
  • Months 2 through 6 trailing: $670 x 5 = $3,350
  • Total from one deal: $5,025 across 6 months

Close two of those in your first month. Thats $10,000 in commission stacked up and still paying you through month six. Close one a month for 90 days, and you have earned $15,000 in first-invoice commission with $10,000 in trailing commission queued up behind you.

Realistic first 90-day earnings at expected productivity: $15,000 to $30,000.

Year 1 On-Track Earnings

$120,000 to $200,000 for a strong performer. Your trailing commissions continue paying you as clients stay engaged, so you are building recurring income while you keep hunting.

How to Apply:

Send us a short note (just a few paragraphs) answering these three questions:

  1. Pick any Reno Metro Area business you walked past this week. In 3-4 sentences, where would you start an AI conversation with the owner?
  2. Why does 1099 commission-only for 90 days not scare you?
  3. What do you think BRDGIT sells, in your own words? Visit www.brdgit.ai first. We want to see how you think, not how well you can copy-paste.

Send here. Include a resume if you have one. If you dont, send a LinkedIn profile instead.

We are hiring this month. If you are the right person, we will know fast.

TSL/BRDGIT is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
