Work Environment

This position offers a remote work setting, allowing for a flexible work-life balance while meeting the diverse needs of our patient population. Our work hours typically run from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, though some adjustments to your schedule may be necessary based on patient availability and requirements. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive trauma-informed mental health assessments to evaluate patients' trauma histories and identify tailored treatment approaches.
  • Develop, implement, and regularly update individualized treatment plans that focus on trauma recovery, resilience, and sustainable coping strategies.
  • Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing processes.
  • Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions to aid patients in processing trauma while fostering a supportive therapeutic environment.
  • Provide timely crisis intervention and support during trauma-related emergencies, ensuring patients receive immediate and compassionate care.
  • Educate patients and their families on trauma responses, adaptive coping mechanisms, and community resources available for ongoing recovery and support.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential clinical documentation, adhering to legal and ethical standards to protect patient information.
  • Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development, honing skills in trauma-informed care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The therapist will primarily work with individuals who have experienced significant trauma, including military veterans, survivors of abuse, accident victims, and individuals facing chronic stressors. Qualifications
  • A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current, valid licensure as either an LMFT, LCPC, or LCSW in the state of Nevada.
  • A minimum of 2 years of post-licensure experience in a clinical setting focused on trauma.
