Senior GTM Engineer, Systems Engineering

Sanity

Remote

Full-time

Job description

At Sanity, we're building the future of AI-powered Content Operations. Our AI Content Operating System gives teams the freedom to model, create, and automate content the way their business works, accelerating digital development and supercharging content operations efficiency. Companies like SKIMS, Figma, Riot Games, Anthropic, COMPLEX, Nordstrom, and Morning Brew use Sanity to power and automate their content operations.
In this GTM Engineer role, you'll join the Systems Engineering team to build the internal systems, applications, workflows, and AI-powered tools that help Sanity's go-to-market teams operate with more speed, trust, and impact. You'll work closely with Sales, Revenue Operations, Customer Solutions, Marketing, and leadership to turn operational friction into durable systems that improve pipeline execution, customer engagement, internal visibility, and team productivity.
This role sits at the intersection of software engineering, GTM operations, data, workflow automation, and AI. You'll help build Sanity's own AI Content Operating System internally: the apps, schemas, integrations, automations, agents, and workflows that help our teams move faster and make better decisions. RevOps and business system owners define and maintain many of Sanity's core GTM systems and processes; you'll build the product layer on top, making those systems easier to use, extend, automate, and trust every day.
If you're a builder who enjoys working directly with GTM teams, moving quickly from ambiguous problems to shipped products, and creating systems that help people do their best work, this role is for you.
What you would do:
  • Build internal GTM products that help Sales, RevOps, Customer Solutions, Marketing, and leadership operate with more speed, clarity, and confidence.
  • Ship full-stack applications across Sanity SDK apps and studios, APIs, backend services, data pipelines, automation layers, and AI-powered workflows.
  • Develop tools and workflows that support pipeline generation, deal execution, customer expansion, account planning, handoffs, forecasting, enablement, and GTM visibility.
  • Build AI-driven workflows that reduce manual work, surface insights, improve data quality, and help GTM teams make better decisions.
  • Create reusable patterns and paved paths for building, adopting, and extending AI-powered operational systems across GTM.
  • Build for trust through access control, auditability, schema quality, governance, data quality, observability, and operational resilience.
  • Partner with workflow champions and GTM stakeholders to move quickly from prototype to production.
  • Measure impact through adoption, time saved, workflow completion rates, data quality, pipeline visibility, GTM productivity, AI evals, and stakeholder feedback.
  • Help shape the architecture, practices, and culture of a new Systems Engineering team with a strong bias toward practical impact.
About you
  • Remote in North America (SF preferred).
  • Strong full-stack engineer with TypeScript, React, Node.js, APIs, and backend services.
  • Experienced building internal tools, workflow automation, data products, platform systems, or AI-powered applications.
  • Strong product instincts and a sharp sense for what users actually need to get work done.
  • Familiar with GTM workflows, with an ability to go deep on how Sales, Marketing, Customer Solutions, and RevOps teams operate.
  • Understands or is eager to learn concepts like pipeline generation, deal stages, customer lifecycle workflows, account data, handoffs, forecasting, enablement, and operational reporting.
  • Systems thinker who can turn operational friction into intuitive tools, reliable workflows, and strong UX patterns.
  • Demonstrated understanding of AI as an operating model, including agents, tool use, structured context, prompts, evals, and automation.
  • Cares deeply about trust, data quality, governance, and systems people can confidently rely on.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and able to turn loosely defined business problems into shipped technical solutions.
  • Clear communicator who can explain technical tradeoffs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Balances rapid experimentation with reliability, observability, access control, and maintainable architecture.
  • Energized by work that compounds across GTM teams and helps Sanity operate faster and better.
Nice to have
  • Experience in GTM Engineering, Revenue Operations, Sales Engineering, Solutions Engineering, Customer Success tooling, or software engineering applied to GTM workflows.
  • Experience working with CRM, marketing automation, sales engagement, customer success, support, data warehouse, or business intelligence systems.
  • Experience building AI/LLM-powered workflows in production, including prompt design, API orchestration, agent design, evals, and human-in-the-loop systems.
  • Experience building demo tooling, enablement systems, knowledge systems, or internal centers of excellence.
  • Background driving adoption, documentation, enablement, or change management for internal tools.
  • Prior experience dogfooding your own company's product or building internal systems on top of a highly composable platform.
What we can offer
  • A highly skilled, inspiring, and supportive team.
  • A positive, flexible, and trust-based work environment that encourages long-term professional and personal growth.
  • A global, multiculturally diverse group of colleagues and customers.
  • Comprehensive health plans and perks.
  • A healthy work-life balance that accommodates individual and family needs.
  • Competitive stock options program and location-based salary.
