Role Overview
We are seeking an Application Data Modeler to design and optimize data structures supporting interactive software applications and online transaction processing (OLTP) systems. This role requires strong expertise in database design, data modelling, and governance, with hands-on experience across multiple relational database platforms. The ideal candidate will bridge technical design with business needs, ensuring scalable, compliant, and well-documented data solutions.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models for OLTP systems.
  • Develop and optimize relational database schemas with proper normalization (up to 3NF).
  • Collaborate with application teams to ensure models align with interactive software requirements.
  • Implement and enforce data governance standards across platforms.
  • Utilize data catalog tools (Alation, Collibra, or comparable) to manage metadata and ensure data accessibility.
  • Generate and validate SQL scripts from modeling tools to support schema creation and updates.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure consistency, compliance, and scalability of data solutions.
