At Ochsner, whether you work with patients every day or support those who do, you are making a difference and that matters. Come make a difference at Ochsner Health and discover your future today!
This can be a REMOTE position.
The Data Analytics Portfolio and Intake Manager is a key role responsible for helping the organization make smart, strategic decisions about analytics demand. This role blends project management, analytics product management, and program management to create structure around how analytics work is requested, evaluated, prioritized, tracked, and communicated.
Key areas of responsibility include designing and managing the analytics intake process, performing light upfront scoping of incoming requests, partnering with stakeholders to clarify needs and expected value, maintaining visibility to demand and delivery status, and facilitating weekly intake and prioritization forums. This person will help ensure that analytics capacity is aligned to the highest-value work and that stakeholders understand what is in queue, what is in progress, and what comes next.
This role serves as the connective tissue between business stakeholders and analytics delivery teams. The ideal candidate brings the discipline of a strong project manager, the prioritization mindset of a product manager, and the cross-functional coordination skills of a program manager. They will manage work and communication across tools such as OpenText and ClickUp, drive process consistency, surface risks and dependencies early, and continuously improve the way analytics demand is governed and delivered.
This is a full-time individual contributor role that may be remote, with occasional travel to New Orleans for team and stakeholder activities.
Main Responsibilities
Own and evolve the analytics intake process:
  • Design, implement, and continuously improve a clear, scalable process for submitting, reviewing, and routing analytics requests.

  • Establish intake standards, required fields, and decision criteria that improve request quality and speed time to triage.

  • Create transparency into request status, pipeline health, and next steps for stakeholders and analytics teams.

Perform light scoping and demand assessment:
  • Partner with requestors and analytics leaders to clarify business objectives, desired outcomes, urgency, dependencies, and high-level level-of-effort.

  • Translate ambiguous requests into well-defined problem statements, preliminary requirements, and actionable intake packages.

  • Identify opportunities to consolidate, sequence, defer, or redirect requests based on value, readiness, and strategic fit.

Facilitate prioritization and portfolio governance:
  • Run weekly intake and prioritization meetings with strong preparation, clear recommendations, and documented decisions.

  • Support prioritization using agreed-upon criteria such as business impact, strategic alignment, effort, risk, timing, and dependencies.

  • Maintain a current view of analytics demand, in-flight work, backlog, and key trade-offs to support leadership decision-making.

Drive stakeholder communication and alignment:
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for intake-related communication, ensuring stakeholders understand process, timing, status, and decisions.

  • Build strong relationships across business, operational, and analytics teams to improve intake quality and partnership.

  • Communicate clearly and diplomatically in situations involving competing priorities, constrained capacity, or changing requirements.

Manage workflow and delivery coordination tools:
  • Manage tasks, updates, and workflow coordination in tools such as OpenText and ClickUp.

  • Ensure requests, decisions, action items, and status updates are accurately documented and easy to follow.

  • Partner with teams to improve workflow hygiene, reporting, and operational consistency across the intake-to-delivery lifecycle.

Support portfolio visibility and operational excellence:
  • Develop and maintain reporting, dashboards, or summaries that provide visibility into demand trends, throughput, bottlenecks, and priorities.

  • Track risks, blockers, and dependencies and escalate issues when timely decisions are needed.

  • Recommend process improvements that increase transparency, responsiveness, and alignment across the analytics portfolio.

Contribute to broader analytics strategy and operations efforts:
  • Partner with analytics leadership on planning, capacity discussions, prioritization frameworks, and operating rhythms.

  • Help strengthen the team's overall ways of working by bringing a product and program mindset to analytics demand management.

  • Assist with other Data Governance, Data Literacy, enablement, or analytics operations duties as needed.

Skills and Competencies
  • Strong project, program, or portfolio management capabilities with the ability to organize complex work across multiple stakeholders and priorities.

  • Excellent stakeholder management, facilitation, and communication skills, with the ability to influence without direct authority.

  • Ability to bring structure to ambiguous requests and translate business needs into clear, actionable work items.

  • Strong prioritization and decision-support skills, with sound judgment in balancing strategic value, urgency, effort, and dependencies.

  • Experience managing intake, backlog, workflow, or portfolio processes in fast-paced, cross-functional environments.

  • Operational discipline and attention to detail, with a bias toward follow-through, documentation quality, and process improvement.

  • Comfort working at both strategic and tactical levels, from facilitating leadership discussions to managing detailed action tracking.

  • Strong analytical thinking and business acumen, with the ability to understand the value and implications of analytics work.

Technical Experience and Proficiencies
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Analytics, Information Systems, Project Management, Healthcare Administration, or a related field required

Experience:
  • 4+ years of experience in project management, program management, product management, portfolio management, PMO, or a similar role in analytics, data, technology, or operational environments.

  • Healthcare experience required.

  • Demonstrated experience managing demand intake, prioritization, backlog governance, or cross-functional work planning.

  • Experience partnering with business stakeholders and technical teams to shape requests, define scope, and coordinate delivery.

  • Experience running recurring governance, intake, or prioritization forums and driving clear follow-through on decisions and actions.

  • Experience with workflow and collaboration tools such as ClickUp, OpenText, Jira, Azure DevOps, Smartsheet, ServiceNow, or similar platforms strongly preferred.

  • Familiarity with analytics, reporting, dashboarding, or data delivery environments preferred.

  • 3-5 years of experience in program or project management, ideally within data, analytics, or technology functions.

  • Ability to use relevant AI tools to develop innovative communications and engagement
  • Preferred - Background in software development or program management.
