Technical Architect - Retail Planning

Location: Remote - North America

Department: Professional Services - Planning

About the Role

We're seeking an experienced Technical Architect to lead the technical design and implementation of Centric Planning solutions for some of North America's leading retailers.

As the technical authority on customer implementations, you'll design scalable solution architectures, oversee integrations, mentor consultants, and work closely with Product Engineering, Solution Architects and customers to ensure successful deployments.

This role combines technical leadership with hands-on architecture, integration design and customer engagement.

What You'll Do

  • Lead the technical architecture for Centric Planning implementations

  • Design scalable, secure and high-performing solution architectures

  • Define integration strategies between Centric Planning, ERP, data warehouses and third-party applications

  • Create and review technical design documentation and integration blueprints

  • Guide customers on architecture best practices and deployment strategies

  • Provide technical leadership throughout implementation projects

  • Mentor consultants and technical team members

  • Partner with Product Engineering to resolve complex technical challenges

  • Support software installation, configuration, upgrades and performance optimization

  • Promote technical standards, reusable frameworks and implementation best practices

  • Participate in solution sizing, technical discovery and pre-sales activities

  • Drive continuous improvement across delivery methodologies and technical standards

What We're Looking For

  • Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline (or equivalent experience)

  • 7+ years in enterprise software implementation or solution architecture

  • Strong SQL Server knowledge and database design experience

  • Experience designing enterprise system integrations using APIs and ETL technologies

  • Experience with Microsoft Azure

  • Understanding of retail planning, merchandise planning or supply chain systems

  • Experience with ERP platforms such as SAP, Oracle or Microsoft Dynamics is desirable

  • Power BI experience is a plus

  • Excellent communication and customer-facing consulting skills

  • Ability to simplify complex technical concepts for business stakeholders
