Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments to develop individualized therapy plans tailored to each client’s needs.
• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions to individuals, couples, families, and groups, ensuring a supportive atmosphere for personal growth.
• Utilize various therapeutic techniques, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, social workers, and other healthcare professionals, to deliver comprehensive care for clients.
• Maintain meticulous and compliant clinical records, upholding the highest ethical standards while tracking client progress and outcomes.
• Engage in professional development activities, including workshops and training, to remain current with mental health research and treatment methodologies.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As an LPC at Active Health Medical Center, you will engage with a diverse client population, including individuals from various socio-economic backgrounds who may have limited access to mental health resources. You will focus on treating a range of mental health issues, such as anxiety disorders, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, and substance abuse. Your empathetic and culturally competent approach will help bridge the gaps in care for clients who are often underserved.

Qualifications

• A Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field.
• Possession of active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Pennsylvania.
• A minimum of two years of experience in counseling, preferably within a clinical setting.
• Strong knowledge of legal and ethical standards relevant to counseling practice.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.
• A demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively within a healthcare team.
• Proficiency with EMR software and the technology necessary for remote practice.

Preferred Experience

• Experience or specialization in family therapy, couples therapy, trauma-informed care, or substance use disorders is highly preferred.
• Background in community-based or outpatient mental health environments can be an asset.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 70,000 to 90,000 annually, commensurate with experience and caseload availability. In addition to the base salary, you will receive a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
