Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations to devise personalized therapy strategies for each client, ensuring a tailored approach to their mental health needs.
• Provide individual, group, and family therapy based on evidence-based practices, incorporating methods such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including psychiatrists, social workers, and medical staff, to deliver comprehensive healthcare solutions that address the diverse needs of our clients.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date clinical documentation and records in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring confidentiality and professionalism.
• Engage in professional development opportunities, keeping current with mental health research and practices to enhance therapeutic interventions and client outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a LPC at Active Health Medical Center, you will work with a wide range of clients, including individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, substance misuse, and relationship challenges. Our focus is on serving populations that may face barriers to accessing traditional mental health services, thus promoting equity and inclusion in mental healthcare.

Qualifications

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field is required.
• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Pennsylvania.
• Minimum of two years of counseling experience in a clinical setting.
• Strong understanding of legal and ethical standards related to mental health practice, ensuring compliance and client safety.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, facilitating the establishment of trust and rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds.

Preferred Experience

• Specialized training or experience in family and couples therapy, trauma-informed care, and substance abuse counseling is highly desirable.
• Proficiency with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) software to effectively manage client notes, treatment plans, and documentation.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a healthcare team, contributing to comprehensive care planning and delivery.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation for this role ranges from USD 70,000 to 90,000 annually, based on experience and workload availability. Our benefits package includes:
