This role is uniquely positioned within a remote school setting that emphasizes a collaborative approach. You will interact regularly with educational staff, counselors, and other healthcare professionals to create a nurturing and supportive environment for our patients. • Conduct thorough assessments of patients’ mental health status by using various standardized tools and protocols, such as the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders, to formulate accurate diagnoses and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Implement and regularly evaluate treatment strategies to monitor progress, ensuring that interventions effectively support each patient’s mental health diagnosis and personal goals.
• Create comprehensive treatment plans that are culturally sensitive and tailored to the specific needs of the patient population served, incorporating input from patients and their families whenever possible.
• Maintain detailed and timely documentation of all patient interactions, treatment records, and clinical reports, in compliance with both regulatory standards and internal department procedures.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate care, facilitating referrals as needed to optimize patient outcomes and explore diverse treatment options.
• Provide direction and mentorship to students, interns, and volunteers, sharing knowledge and guiding them through practical experiences in clinical settings.
• Engage with clinical supervisors to participate in peer reviews, chart audits, and collaborative discussions aimed at enhancing team development and care quality.

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker at Able Care Rehab Services, your primary focus will be on patients and families affected by cancer. You will work closely with individuals from diverse backgrounds, supporting them through emotional and psychological challenges related to their diagnoses. Your role will emphasize the importance of cultural competence and sensitivity in addressing the varied needs of your clients.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of New York.

• Experience working with oncology patients or familiar with cancer-related mental health challenges is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in using telehealth platforms to provide virtual therapy is a valuable asset, as this position includes remote services.
• Familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic modalities and mental health interventions.
