Regional Sales Manager

Location: Remote – Candidates must reside in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Florida, Alabama, or Mississippi.

Position Overview

TriMed is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Regional Sales Manager to lead sales growth and market development within an assigned region. This leadership role is responsible for developing and executing regional sales strategies, driving revenue growth, increasing market share, and building high-performing sales teams. The Regional Sales Manager serves as a key partner to customers, sales representatives, and internal stakeholders while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and exceptional customer service.

What You'll Do
  • Lead and support a team of sales representatives to achieve regional and company sales objectives.
  • Communicate territory performance, sales initiatives, product updates, and strategic priorities to the sales organization.
  • Establish regional sales goals and regularly monitor, analyze, and communicate performance against targets.
  • Provide ongoing coaching, training, and mentorship to develop sales capabilities and product expertise.
  • Support and participate in TriMed's product education and training programs.
  • Conduct regular field visits to support sales representatives, strengthen customer relationships, and identify territory opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Product Management to address product feedback and customer inquiries.
  • Serve as interim sales coverage for new or vacant territories as needed.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key customers, including surgeons, operating room personnel, purchasing departments, and healthcare administrators.
  • Build and support surgeon champions who advocate for and utilize TriMed products.
  • Represent TriMed at regional and national trade shows, conferences, and industry events.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of TriMed products, competitive positioning, and marketing strategies.
  • Identify and communicate new business opportunities, including product enhancements, market expansion opportunities, distribution partnerships, and acquisition prospects.
  • Manage regional travel, entertainment, and operating budgets responsibly.
  • Support field inventory management, including consigned and loaner instrumentation.
  • Participate in management meetings, sales reviews, forecasting activities, reporting, and other leadership responsibilities.
Required Qualifications
  • 5–7+ years of progressive experience in medical device sales, healthcare sales, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated success leading sales teams and achieving revenue growth objectives.
  • Strong knowledge of orthopedic and/or surgical medical device sales processes.
  • Understanding of operating room protocols and sterile field requirements.
  • Experience analyzing sales performance metrics, forecasting, and territory management.
  • Strong organizational, planning, and project management skills.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Exceptional verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to influence and build relationships across all levels of an organization.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Relevant industry certifications or advanced sales training.
Travel & Physical Requirements
  • Ability to travel up to 75% of the time.
  • Ability to lift and transport 25–30 pounds of instrumentation, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Compensation

Base Salary: $130,000 – $175,000

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for quarterly and annual performance-based bonus opportunities.
