• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to identify the severity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms in clients.
• Collaborate with clients to formulate personalized treatment plans that address their unique needs, preferences, and aspirations.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to mood disorders, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
• Educate and empower clients and their families about mood disorders, outlining treatment options and self-care strategies to enhance their overall quality of life.
• Monitor clients’ progress throughout their treatment journey, making data-driven adjustments to treatment plans as required.
• Work closely with psychiatrists and other allied health professionals to ensure integrated care and seamless communication regarding clients' treatment.
• Remain informed about the latest research and developments in the field of mood disorders, ensuring best practices in treatment delivery.
• Maintain accurate and confidential documentation in compliance with legal and ethical standards, ensuring precision in record-keeping for assessments, therapy sessions, and treatment plans.
• Participate in case discussions, team meetings, and ongoing education initiatives to enhance clinical skills and remain current with best practices in mental health counseling.
• Advocate for clients within the community to promote understanding and reduce stigma surrounding mood disorders, reinforcing their mental health needs.

You will primarily work with individuals experiencing mood disorders, focusing on their unique journeys toward recovery. Your empathy, understanding, and support will be pivotal as you engage with clients from various backgrounds and life experiences, helping them navigate their challenges and reclaim their mental health.

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
• Must possess a current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in New York State.
• Expertise in delivering evidence-based treatment modalities for mood disorders, including CBT and DBT, is essential.
• Strong comprehension of psychopharmacology for effective collaboration with psychiatrists and other medical personnel.
• A proven history of successful outcomes in treating mood disorders and a passion for fostering positive client relationships.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to connect with clients from diverse demographics and backgrounds.

While not mandatory, experience in community mental health settings and familiarity with telehealth practices can greatly enhance your effectiveness in this role. • Annual salary range between USD 52,000 to 100,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
