• Conduct comprehensive bio-psychosocial assessments to inform treatment planning and identify barriers to care.
• Develop individualized treatment plans that incorporate evidence-based therapeutic modalities tailored to the specific needs of each patient.
• Provide compassionate and ethical outpatient mental health therapy, utilizing both individual and group formats.
• Consult and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of medical professionals to ensure continuity of care, improving treatment compliance and patient outcomes.
• Document all social work activities and treatment interventions in accordance with departmental standards, ensuring compliance with best practices and regulatory requirements.
• Educate patients and their families about mental health and social work recommendations to support optimal functioning and decision-making.
• Engage in community advocacy to enhance patient support systems and improve access to relevant social resources.
• Stay current on community resources and maintain professional expertise through ongoing training and education.
• Contribute to departmental statistics and reporting, participating in quality improvement initiatives.

You will primarily work with individuals seeking recovery from substance use disorders and concurrent mental health issues. Our patient population is diverse, encompassing various backgrounds and experiences, which requires sensitivity to a range of cultural, developmental, and societal factors. • A Master's Degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Virginia.
• Thorough understanding of the NASW Code of Ethics and adherence to professional standards of practice.
• Strong analytical and clinical skills necessary for assessing patients, developing treatment plans, and evaluating the effectiveness of therapeutic interventions.
• Exceptional communication skills to facilitate effective collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.

• One year of professional clinical experience in a behavioral health or mental health setting, particularly in detox or substance abuse programs.
• Experience working with various populations, particularly those affected by addiction, trauma, and co-occurring disorders.
• Familiarity with available community resources that can assist patients in their recovery journey.
