• Conduct comprehensive initial assessments of students and their families to evaluate mental health needs.
• Develop individualized treatment plans that address specific goals and challenges, adapting them as necessary to ensure effective support.
• Engage in therapy sessions with individuals, couples, families, and groups, employing a variety of therapeutic techniques tailored to each situation.
• Monitor client progress regularly, adjusting treatment plans based on ongoing assessments and feedback.
• Provide crisis intervention services as required, including referrals to appropriate emergency services when necessary.
• Maintain detailed clinical documentation in accordance with both state and federal regulations, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality.
• Collaborate closely with other mental health specialists, educators, parents, and external community organizations to ensure comprehensive care.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and training sessions to enhance your therapeutic skills and knowledge base.

This role primarily focuses on children, adolescents, and their families within educational institutions. You will work closely with students facing various emotional and behavioral challenges, addressing issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and family dynamics. Your goal will be to create a safe therapeutic environment where clients feel supported and empowered to achieve their mental health objectives.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, with a focus on clinical practice.
• Current and valid California LCSW license is mandatory.
• Active and unrestricted state license to practice as a mental health therapist.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience providing mental health services to diverse populations, including individuals, couples, families, and groups.
• Demonstrated proficiency in communication and interpersonal skills.
• An empathetic approach complemented by strong problem-solving abilities and a deep understanding of mental health diagnoses and treatment methodologies.
• Ability to thrive both independently and as part of a collaborative team environment.
• Strong organizational skills and adept time management capabilities.

• Experience with electronic health record systems is highly desirable as it enhances documentation and patient care processes.
• Previous experience working in school settings or with children and adolescents is also advantageous.
